I’m “informed” not scared. This virus affects elderly and people with chronic dieases. If people we dying that are young and healthy and children, then it would be a different story.

medical community has stated numerous times that “‘majority” of people getting Cv-19 will only experience mild symptoms.

No, you're not informed.
I'm pasting this again, in case you missed it

The virus DOESN'T only affects "elderly and people with chronic diseases".
You are acting like everybody did here 2 or 3 weeks ago. As of right now, our ICUs are overwhelmed, doctors and nurses working on shifts of 12/14 hours.
The first sick man discovered here was 38 years old, with no health related issues and a sport guy.
You're right in saying that the majority of people will only experience mild symptoms. But with unavalaible ICUs, medics will have to decide who will get the treatment, even if it's just for a little part of population.
You don't have to be scared, but you don't get how much worrisome this virus is.
Please, be safe

People dont want to leave their homes but need supplies.  UPS and other delivery company's bout to get wrecked as long as there is enough supplies.  Be sure to wave and smile at me while I drop off your stuff in my brown hazmat suit!

Good luck and be careful man.

And keep in mind, a lot of this is happening here, up north, where usually healthcare is way better than in other place of the country

Quote

"And there are no more surgeons, urologists, orthopedists, we are only doctors who suddenly become part of a single team to face this tsunami that has overwhelmed us. Cases are multiplying, they arrive at a rate of 15-20 admissions per day all for the same reason.

The results of the swabs now come one after the other: positive, positive, positive. Suddenly the ER is collapsing.

Reasons for entry are always the same: fever and breathing difficulties, fever and cough, respiratory failure. Radiology reports always the same: bilateral interstitial pneumonia, bilateral interstitial pneumonia, bilateral interstitial pneumonia. All to be hospitalized.

Some are already to be intubated and go to intensive care. For others it's too late... Every ventilator becomes like gold: those in operating theatres that have now suspended their non-urgent activity become intensive care beds that did not exist before.

"The staff are exhausted. I saw new levels of tiredness on faces despite the already exhausting workloads they had. I saw the solidarity among all of us, who never failed to go to our internist colleagues to ask "what can I do for you now?"

Doctors who move beds and transfer patients, who administer therapies instead of nurses. Nurses with tears in their eyes because we can't save everyone, and the vital parameters of several patients at the same time reveal an already marked destiny."

There are no more shifts, no more hours. Social life is suspended for us. We no longer see our families for fear of infecting them. Some of us have already become infected despite the protocols.

Some of our colleagues who are infected also have infected relatives and some of their relatives are already struggling between life and death.

Pretty sure both sides are trying to “politicize”this thing. Don’t just make it about conservatives.

and how would you be sure of that?  Only 1 side is leading and can control the rhetoric.

Neither White House official or their teams, which were responsible for coordinating the U.S. response to pandemic outbreaks across agencies, have been replaced during the past two years.

In November 2019, a bipartisan group of lawmakers and experts formally recommended that health security leadership on the NSC should be restored.

The white house did nothing.  Pence got the call.  Not to worry, Jared is researching this and will be back with some answers.   If you think that is a 50/50 situation, enjoy the radiance from the gas lighting,

Sorry, I should stay focused on football--but many of us are getting tired of Trumpers trying to force their nonsense on those of us who have him figured out--and it wasnt that hard and did not take that long to do.
