Besides like 5 plays a game, Mccoy was terrible. No gap control, being shove around like a UDFA, didnt work with teammates etc. Just bad and a big reason for leagues worst run defense.

I know some people who watched McCoy play last year thought he was primarily looking for sacks and wasn't playing that hard against the run.

True? Don't know, but I've seen more than one person give that opinion.

McCoy had some flash plays and was all around solid. He wasn’t even terrible in the run game, not great but not like he was a huge liability there. Wouldn’t have made any sense whatsoever to keep him though. I enjoyed seeing him in a Panthers jersey briefly.

He had a bunch of excuses when he left tampa and surprise, he has excuses now.  Truth is he is not the player that he has hyped himself up to be

We've always rotated our front four a lot and honestly that's one of the Rivera concepts I agree with. Keep those guys fresh and they'll be more effective.

I mean for the money we paid him we got our worth. And he didn’t exactly have a supporting cast. Butler just got paid roughly what McCoy was paid and I’d take McCoy all day long over Butler.

I wouldn’t have kept him in for all snaps though, dude’s in denial.
