If we trade back I would love Kinlaw. If we stay at #7 and we pick Kinlaw over Brown I will be furious...but I’m just a sucker fan so it really doesn’t matter.

I have no insight into the Panthers brain trust's thoughts. However, I suspect that many "experts" are overvaluing Brown and undervaluing Kinlaw. Having said that, I think I will be a tad disappointed with either pick at #7. Of course, that is perfectly consistent to my feelings about this whole off season.

I think Kinlaw offers greater upside and flexibility than Brown and will not be a bit surprised if he were picked before Brown.

I don't see Kinlaw over the top two LTs or Brown, deffinate option in trade back situation.

Would like to see a taller CB. Size has been an issue with Jackson at times with NFC south receivers. I understand that would be a tall order in this draft though.

I'm falling in line with her thinking on Kinlaw. Think he is very much in play at 7. I like the draft, especially the first 3 rounds and the two Utah players on day 3, but wonder why she grabbed 2 NTs.

If we don't do something else to address DT, then we're pretty much going to be forced to throw mud at the wall and see what sticks in the draft just to be able to field a DL. Fotu in the 5th would be a huge steal IMO.

Kinlaw is an athletic freak who definitely needs developing, Brown was absolutely dominate throughout the season and showed a lot more on tape but didn’t put up as good combine numbers. I have no doubt Brown is a better prospect, but I wouldn’t be upset if we traded back to get extra picks and end up with Kinlaw. At #7 I would be thrilled with Brown, Okudah, or Simmons. One of the three should be available.

Honestly, I wouldn't have any major issues with it. Glad someone else can recognize that this roster is nowhere close to being able to actually put a DL on the field.

Don’t like not coming away with a WR. Don’t think Hennessy is worth 69, would rather have a WR even though we spent the off-season going after every FA WR so we could ignore the deepest and best WR class in forever. SMH.

I know we need interior OL but after skipping over this the past two better drafts it feels like we will force ourselves to take a. It as good one too early.

I don’t think Fotu will be there in the 5th either.

    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
    • They will still be a playoff team but they aren't contenders anymore IMO. They won't be able to spend like they have when they went to a SB and proved he couldn't carry a win at that level with a really good team around him. Now he is going to have to do it with less to spend around him. They just locked in to being a playoff bound team that's going to be a known speed bump for whoever will represent the NFC in the SB.
    • Hmm. I think he'll live up to it. Last year, about half of his team was on IR it seems, at one time or another. Year before, Super Bowl appearance. Year before that, playoff run after being third on the depth chart and being pressed into service. Is he one of the greatest in the game right now? Nope. No chance of that. Is he in the top 10 going into next season? Pretty good chance of that.  Would 20 or more teams in this league love to have the guy as their starting QB. Most likely so. He's a good QB who can implement his coach's game plan to a T and has both the confidence of and confidence in his teammates. That'll take you a long way in this league if you've got the right cast around you, and he does.
