If Cam wins in NE, its because cheating wins. 

Aside from that, NE is not set up to be a strong team this year. Their o-line is worse than ours, they now have a qb that is at -/+ 7 games played before injured by vegas, and zero weapons on offense.

I loved Cam while he was here, and I love his attitude about moving forward. I *do* think it's in the best interest of all involved, but I wish him nothing but the best in NE. I hate the Pats, but I hope he has success there.

If we go 7-9 or 8-8 with this D I’d be extremely confident in the next couple of years regardless of who’s at QB.

I agree with you but as we’ve seen consistently from many sports owners, billionaires don’t always make the right decisions in running and operating their teams. Business smarts in certain industries may not translate as much to sports. We won’t know for several years though, as like Tepper said, this is not going to be a quick process.

Going to miss seeing him in a Panther jersey on Sundays. The flying around the field before games, the cleats, the dabbing & dancing, the exciting plays, the winning. He’s going to have millions missing him all over the Carolinas, and if there’s a season, he’ll have quite a few Carolinians on the Patriots bandwagon. 
 

I hope he carves out a nice career in New England, and it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if he continued the Patriots dominance. I think he has a chance.

Love the guy and truly wish the best for him. Hope he has a great healthy year (and ultimately ends up on another team). Gotta say though..if I'm betting, I don't think that's what is going to happen.

Dude....no. That is a nightmare scenario. I love Cam but him doing well as a Pat is a personal nightmare.

I have moved on from the Super Bowl of 2003, and with them being in the AFC, it does the panthers no harm if they continue with their winning ways. I’d always root for my hometown Panthers to win it all, but if we can’t(and I don’t believe we’ll be in the discussion for a long time), then I hope Cam can get to the promised land.

Hes my favorite nfl player, ever.

It hurts to not want him to do well. It is why I am hoping there is no season.

I don't think it was that complex. The team's made it pretty clear with their actions that they are stumped on Cam's health. Simply came down to do you pay him and risk your new staff being saddled to a hobbled QB or let them start fresh with a guy we know is at least better than Kyle Allen. He is mostly risk adverse like any good investor and went the safe route.

Even if there is no season, he will be under contract with the Patriots for the following season

I don't have any favorite players, only a favorite team, as well as a couple of teams I don't like.

 

However, it will be interesting to watch what Cam does in New England.  Whether he succeeds or fails, there will be some here who will say "I told you so".
