Things we need to do to beat the raiders

# 1 we need some touchdowns no failed drives with field goals and I think we will score a lot of tds vs the raiders . My data has teddy going for 250 and 2 tds with 0 into which is a good day imo . We will need to feed mccaffrey and let him do his thing . The raiders defense is much improved and are underrated but no way they can slow mccaffrey down . If our offensive line can keep teddy clean we will put up atleast 30 points . Offense isn’t the issue .

#2 our defense , it has looked good during camp yes , but this is a dangerous raiders offense which is going under the radar . From my research Ruggs is living up to the hype and with our poor secondary this can be problems but the  biggest threat we have against us is their wr Edwards from research he is a potentially going to be there # 1 wr he is a big body wr and most of you South Carolina fans know who I’m talking about he is dangerous and he will be making big plays against us

they also have hunter renfrow which looked like a very good wr In the slot . There passing attack will gives us problems which is all on how Derek Carr shows up , he’s been poor the last couple seasons but was once rated as one of the best upcoming qbs .

#3 we need to stop josh Jacobs he’s projected to  have 180 yards and 2 tds vs us which is terrible . I believe we will be improved with a heathy kk short and if brown lives up to the hype but we got to remember we no longer have Luke and our linebackers aren’t the best .

#4 win the shoot out this game will be a big time shoot out we got to win the shoot out , I have us scoring in the 30s range and winning by a field goal in the 4 th

Key #1 is Derrick Brown suplexing Richie Incognito on the first play. Instantly asserts dominance and inserts Derrick Brown in all of our hearts.

But seriously the talent between the two teams in close. It’s time to see if the new school spread the field offense can put up more points than Grudens Spider 2 Y Banana based offense.

Score more points than them? lol.  Every coach in the NFL knows that gameplan.

What we need to do is hold the opponent to zero points.  Literally impossible to lose a game if you do that.   Hopefully someone on staff is reading this.

Win the turnover battle, and we win the game!

Came here to post exactly this. In a sloppy opening game with no preseason, this is definitely the most important aspect. And there will be many turnovers this game, I’m sure of it—needs to be us capitalizing and limiting mistakes.

    • Yeah, Moehrig in likely passing situations as a LB/DB hybrid role seems like a better approach then Rozeboom/Wallace.
    • This thread was a fun re-read, and not to toot my own horn, but I'd say I was pretty spot on with the things I was saying about both T-Mac and Hunter, like eerily so.  I really wish I had kept a bunch of screenshots/links to all the arguments I got into with people over the last 2 years over T-Mac, would just be fun to look back on them and laugh. To your post though, it's wild that any NFL GM couldn't see this being the case as 90% of fans out there could see it from a mile away, it really was just common sense, you can't be a full time 2 way player in the NFL today, and he's a better CB than WR, always was. The fact that they traded a future 1st and a 2nd in that draft to move up to take a CB and part time WR is beyond comical, and even if he ends up a great player, is more than likely going to be looked back on as a terrible trade by them.  Two 1st's and a 2nd to take a CB is just asinine, I'm not sure there has ever been a CB who was worth that, even the peak years of Revis or someone like Asomugha weren't worth that, let alone a full career of play.
    • This. The Micah Parsons situation is an anomaly and it takes a moron with a gigantic ego like Jerry Jones to pull it off. The vast majority of these superstar/organization showdowns end up with a massive extension getting inked after a bunch of talking and posturing during the negotiation process with everyone trying to get the best deal from their perspective that they can and then everyone making up in the end - basically the Lamar contract situation. That's the normal process of how those situations play out and why everyone just assumed the Parsons situation would follow the same path but then Jerruh gonna Jerruh. LOL
