Reid had his moments, but he was also one of those guys who all too often made big plays for both teams.

Watching him seem to forget that he was allowed to use his arms when tackling made people want to tear their hair out.

One of the worst offseason moves we made this season was re-signing Boston.  He was terrible again.  Multiple missed tackles,  blown coverage.

 

It doesn't take much to replace him.   Also, agree that Reid isn't the guy.  He's not a safety.  Prob be an above average OLB if he beefed up.

Let the defense cook, and take their lumps now. Unless injury, there needs to be no help brought in for this defense. You asses where you are in the offseason, and move from there

Reid was a good guy and he was a very good teammate. I think he's a good man for standing up for the right cause, too.

He, however, isn't a good tackler (you've got to use your arms) and that hurts a team on the backend. We need to go with who we have and let them learn.

It is also just the first game of the season, with no preseason under an entirely new coaching staff/defensive scheme. It may take time for the defense to gel. It wasn't like we were tearing it like the '85 Bears out there last year. Or the 2015 Panthers. Or the 2003 Panthers. 

Maybe like the 2018 Browns or something.

I'd prefer to reapproach the Cardinals and see what the asking price is for Reddick. It can't be more than a late pick.

Move Shaq inside and let Reddick play outside with Chinn roaming.

Reid is an impressionable guy who is a bit angry (politically).  Whether you agree or disagree with his stance, he could be a distraction for the young players. 

And he cannot tackle or cover.  Aside from that, he is a good defender.
