Game balls - Who gets em?

When is the last time special teams was a critical element in a win for us?  Seems like its been forever.

Jansen, Slye, and the punter who made that kick at the end.  Perfect placement.

Shaq played well, as did Chinn.  Jackson made some plays.  Defensive line made life hard for Herbert.

On offense, the run blocking was good in the first half.  And the running backs looked good in the first half.  But no one did much in the second half, so no game balls for anyone on offense.

Playing without a lot of turnovers helped us win

Playing with a ton of penalties and turnovers helped them lose.

Would not pat ourselves on the back too much, but, Rhule is instilling a fighting attitude in these guys.  DLine starting to make some noise, which helps everyone else out.

Oline was not horrendous, which is a nice change.

Will stick with my 6-10 prediction even though I wanted to drop it some when CMC went out.

These guys will try to play each week.

Brady gets a game ball

Teddy gets a game ball for executing the plan without CMC

Other guys did well or at least better than normal, but not handing game balls out to everyone that caught a pass or made a tackle, that's their job.

Teddy for a win successfully managed

Davis for stepping up admirably.

Burns for playing lights out

Chinn for being the steal of the draft

Snow called an amazing game, I'd give him the game ball. Others are honorable mentions.

    • Well he quickly deflected the question about Rico's "almost 7 YPC." He is very polished and he transitioned well to non-answers and side steps. I can see why a guy like him was able to pull the wool over on guys like Tepper.
    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
    • In the locker room after the Dallas game, multiple  players said FEED him when Canales mentioned Rico stats. That already made me think even the locker room wouldn't care if Rico got the touches rn. This is on Canales indeed and I agree n the Qb take.  We aren't winning  bc of Bryce  but he has been managing it. Had the Jets had Qb aptitude,  we could've probably  lost that game too. All they would've needed is 14 points. Regardless, we got a team  that's being built up and that position needs an overhaul.  If ww lock in to Bryce, it'd be no different  than the 49ers locking into Purdy. Can't do it!
