He is certainly partially right.  But the main reason we are less predictable is no Ron Rivera and company.

It was a problem this year too. CMC had 41 rushing attempts by the time he got injured in the second half of week 2. Davis as 46 attemps all season including those two games.

Eh. He played two games in the new offense. The unpredictability could just as easily be due to the new coaches, quarterback, and breakout WR1. We'll see what happens when he comes back, which is hopefully soon.

I'm hopeful there can be a creative mix now that everyone knows what Davis brings. But we likely wouldn't have known without the injury

I’ve always felt CMC’s role in the passing game should be slightly minimized.

Small sample size, but he was only averaging 4.5 passing targets through the first two games. That would put him on pace for 72 targets on the season vs. 142 last season. Redoing the math for him missing the majority of the 4th quarter of the second game, that still only puts him at 82 targets this season.

Thanks to technology we can predict pretty much where a hurricane will move to and make landfall. It does not mean we can stop a hurricane, though.
