TEDDY SUCKS

Sigh.

People need to just accept something about Teddy.  He doesn't suck, obviously.  But he's not a long-term guy either.  All the excuses and stuff people make for him are ridiculous.  Dude isn't someone that is going to put up good numbers consistently against solid and good defenses.  He just isn't.

Today wasn't all his fault.  But he's a game manager who throws way too many pickable passes.

The Panthers organization is an amateur parade.

The team will coast to 8-8 and imprison themselves with Bridgewater for the seasons to come. No "leadership" on this team could afford a patient rebuild that would give them an excellent QB prospect or a great runner up. Marty couldn't hang around after a 2-14 season, the owner couldn't take a 3-13 season to the negotiating table in his attempt to extort the city for money.

They all needed a Make It Look Good season to keep hanging around. Bridgewater shouldn't be here, and frankly, neither should anybody in charge all the way to the top.

If you think Teddy was any of the biggest problems today dare I say you know absolutely nothing about football.

Don't tell on yourselves.

I mean you've already told on yourself throughout Cam's career and now this season. If you're gonna hype up Teddy even on his average or mediocre days, you gotta take it when he doesn't have a good day.

He’s a good backup. That’s it. It’s easy to see the terrible throws and ints, but beyond there there was a ton of terrible decisions today. He’s not the one supposed to be taking spinning lessons from Everett Brown.  Throwing into bad coverages, trying to get wrs killed, hesitation, among those bad decisions.

Imagine actively rooting for the QB your team just signed to a 3 year deal to fail...

I don't want him to fail.  I obviously want him to succeed and win, and was dangerously close to becoming intoxicated with the Kool-Aid after the last 3 weeks, but we just saw the results, AGAIN, when he had to play a legit team.  We should've beat the Bears today, but they legit made Teddy be the one to beat them and he couldn't.

    • Yet here you are.
    • Caleb Williams has more passing yards in 7 attempts than our QB did in 4 quarters.
    • Was just looking at the box score and now realizing it goes even further than the red zone usage. On the first drive of the game, T-Mac was targeted 3 times, Brycen twice, and Renfrow once. Which means for the remainder of the game, Bryce only had 9 targets to his WRs.   And yes, I get it, we won by 30 in a shutout, but it's not like the game was a blowout the whole time where we were just running it to preserve the lead.  But just like I felt all throughout 2015, we might have been winning games, but it was in spite of the coaching staff that season, not because of them.  They made soooooo many play calls and game plans that made no sense and the players seemed to constantly bail them out, and it was frustrating when fans would get upset at asking these questions just because we were winning. It's also not like we have a clear cut long term franchise QB solution, we had 17 games (and now just 14 more) to prove Bryce can either be the guy or not be the guy, so even in games like this, we need to be throwing it more and throwing it downfield more to see what he can be. I said all off-season, we're not contenders this year, winning or losing doesn't matter to me, it's about finding out if Bryce should be our long term guy or if we should move on after this year.  Games like this are nice for the win, but they hurt our ability to evaluate him properly.
