Christian Miller?

WOW!!

He's definitely not "secured" a spot. Depending what we may add in FA or next draft at the position, he may stick around but he was drafted under Ron, wasn't a very high pick and has sat out of football for a year -- all factors that do not work in his favor.

He'll definitely have his shot in camp. My concern with guys who aren't entrenched starters who opted out is that they're going to get labeled as guys who don't love football and it'll hurt them in the future. Ultimately I think if they're clearly deserving of a roster spot they'll get the spot, but if it's close it could factor into the ultimate roster decision.

He also let Haynes look decent this year so he’s put himself behind in that regard and he’s not getting experience. Don’t know his personal reasons but he absolutely hurt his career being a guy who hasn’t played much at all while his competitors are getting lots of action.

Haynes has definitely made some plays this year. He's been another pleasant surprise.

I don’t think he’ll ever be a starter but as a backup/pass rusher he’s been decent. He’s been noticeably in plays versus Weatherly.

If he develops (while adding muscle and retaining speed) fully he has a helluva ceiling. Imo, his problems were size related and his problem holding the edge. He could get to QB but he lacked consistency in his run defense.  Iirc, that's why he was still on the board in the 4th round. Esp. since he broke the Ole Miss sack record(previously held by Greg Hardy), along with the TFL record.

As for Christian Miller, imo he's the type of player Rhule and Snow like. His biggest problem has always been availability though.

Burns, YGM, Haynes, Miller ... pretty decent upside.

Hes was a "high risk" convid guy. fyi

Honestly he is needed for 2021 and is the perfect backup to Burns.

Im a big fan, just dont see how this will work with Rhule. I think it will end like it did with Eli Apple. Rhule will run out of patience waiting for Miller to constantly get healthy.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
