For playoff/NFC East/competitive reasons.  If Giants lose at 1PM, that makes WFT/Panthers a clinch game for WFT.  And also the Eagles/Cowboys play at 4, and so they probably don't want a scenario where WFT wins at 1pm and thus makes the Cowboys/Eagles game less important

Washington playing for  a bye and division. That should be enough to flip the switch against a team that is ‘resting’ two players who could play if ‘building a winning culture’ was that important in 2020 

Rivera saw Bridgewater last year in person.

 He has also seen the tape and knows all that has to be done is sit on those short routes and rush him 

Rivera’s defense is pretty good this year and loaded with number 1 defensive draft picks 

it isn’t just the first round draft position, it’s all rds     They need to be competitive and get a L. Players and coaches don’t think that way. Fans do and I’m a fan.  A QB is needed

I ain't even worried.  Rivera is about to put that work on this offense.

Besides... when have the Panthers ever won a game against an important player from our past?  Didn't even Jake Delhomme beat us in 2010 LOL 

Then there was the Steve Smith game.  Julius Peppers DESTROYED us.  John Fox's team also killed us.

Like... there really is nothing to be concerned about.  I'm about to pour a glass before the game and enjoy this.

And if we win?  I won't be mad.  Just really disappointed.  But we not winning lol

This current Panthers team has a lot of losers and scrubs on it, and they failed us this season. Many of these current players will not be on next years team, and the only thing that really matters at this point is our draft position. I want the players who have done well this season to have good individual games, but this team is a loser and it needs to continue to lose to improve next years team.
