There’s no way Bridgewater is the starter next year, right?

For all of you (most of you) who were so excited when Teddy first got here last offseason well you reap what you sow. Teddy will continue to be the player he was brought in to be until we find a suitable replacement, and that is a low end starter who is a bridge player and will continue to secure us a high draft pick until we draft a QB.

Did you guys think Rhule and Tepper were joking when they said they don't expect to win for awhile? Rhule was given an incredibly long leash. We could have back to back to back losing records for the next 2-3 years and everything will be going "according to schedule." They said something about 3-5 seasons before they expect to start winning? I'd say we're right on schedule.

bye bye

This new ownership, coach, and FO sticking with Teddy would be an incredibly huge red flag signalling zero change . I've been a diehard fan since day 1 and this would be hugely disappointing.

Nice attitude, btw. Y'all are welcome to enjoy perpetual mediocrity if such low-hanging fruit like not starting Teddy is ignored. Been a fan since day 1 and it would be a huge gut-punch.

Joe Brady (and by extension Rhule) stuck his neck out and VOUCHED for Theodore.  You think those two are willing to show any humility at all by pulling the plug in year one and admitting they were wrong?

Rhule pulled him in a two score game. Yeah, he's ready to move on

I daresay that Rhule and Tepper were setting the bar low with these quotes. After the performance this year and a few specific glaring weaknesses being clear limitations I want to believe they're smart enough to not play dumb and try to ignore them. Even if the wins weren't there this team showed too much promise and quicker than expected.

Being under contract doesn’t mean he’ll be a starter. There’s 31 other guys under contract who aren’t starters.

He's currently the best QB on our roster. Why wouldn't the best QB on your roster be the starter?

Should we look for an upgrade? Absolutely. Will we succeed? Maybe, but I don't any QB we take in the draft will be starting week 1.

I mean... $21M committed to him in dead cap makes it really, really hard for me to see otherwise. The team is in a reasonable position to trade up for a QB, or they can gamble on Teddy continuing to regress and shoot for Sam Howell or one of the 2022 QB free agents. The real question is: do you trade up in front of ATL?

Teddy was a Hurney decision . Tepper and now Rhule is not on board with Teddy .  With Grier now also done , we will bring in a Qb and maybe two .  We must keep Moton and try to keep Samuel .

I assume one of those 2 are a QB we drafted on the first round. None of the QBs out there right now are franchise QB caliber. We will be stuck in QB purgatory.

Its so sad, i watched the youtube highlights of cam vs jets (maybe they suck so bad) week 17 and even those plays (who knows they edited the bad plays away) were easily better than any plays made by TeddyB I have seen this year,  I even saw  a philly special where cam jogged in with the end zone TD reception. I wish we had those days here with carolina with a healthy cam

Lol. What is Brady supposed to say after Marty signs Teddy? 1) fug I really wish he didn't do that, Teddy blows. Or 2) Excited to have Teddy, he fits the system.

Come on, man....

Will TB5 be on the roster next year?  Yes, 100%, he will.

Will he start?  At least as far as week 1 of 2021 is concerned, it seems very likely at this point, regardless of what we do during the offseason.

Will he start week 17 of 2021?  That is far less clear at this point.

Young crew makes mistake with oversight by old hand who was terrible at his job and fired. That's Teddy.

We can do what we want. Trade for a conditional or late pick, cut for 3 million in cap space or used as a practice dummy...That's Teddy's future. Which one? No idea but I'm excited to see how they try to right the ship. There was always going to be a learning curve, the mistake of 2 gloved yards is part of it. If they land a real QB then I couldn't care less about Teddy.

    • Yeah the only way current set up is fun is if every year a different tiny school builds a super team and makes a run. You just need 1 rich guy to say you know what would be funny, if I drop 30 million and my school has a shot at a national championship.   They won't ever do it but put some sort of tiered salary cap in place and sign them to 4 year deals. You can only transfer up or down tiers no lateral moves because mean ole coach at texas doesn't play me enough so I'm going to Tennessee. So a player at prairie view can transfer to texas and get paid more or a player from UNC can transfer to UNCG because he isn't getting playing time. If a guy is transferring "up" he can get a salary bump if the team has salary cap space. A guy transferring down has to stay at the same salary as he signed his 4 year deal for so the lower tier team would have to have the cap space to sign him. It would stop the money chasing for lateral moves but allow guys who improve massively at lower schools to make more money as juniors and seniors and hopefully keep more guys in one place because the contract is for 4 years.
    • Bryce youngs first starts for 3 years   51 of 103 49%     153 yards avg 6 ints 2 tds   But this is the year he turns it around
    • His third year was worse than Bryce's third year, significantly so.  And he had a game where he threw for 120 yards, two inteceptions, and had a fumble.  He had multiple games where he threw for more int's than td's.
