Let's say you are Deshaun Watson, bias aside, where do you want to go?

homerism aside?  and only looking at the most obvious.

well, if winning and only winning mattered? I'd probably go to NE.   They are an instant contender w/ BB and Watson.  Especially when they aren't leading the league in players sitting out w/ COVID.   But I am not sure Watson wants to sign up for the Patriot way.   If BB has the QB who has proven time and time again he can patchwork up the rest.

For a good combo of things?  I don't think Carolina is bad option for him.   Nor do I think it is homerism. Which is why I think we are legitimately on his list.   Close to home.  Young coaches.   Good skill position talent to throw to.  A pretty liberal owner.

Depends on your outlook. I hate Miami and love SF. It's one of my favorite cities on earth that I have visited yet. I would literally never live in Florida and Miami . But people are in to different things.

Last time I was in SF they gave me a Mustang as my rental and I was terrified every time I went up one of those famous hills. I couldn't see anything over the hood as we crested them. lol

Because the O-Line wasn’t that bad. Get an LG or Center in the Draft or FA. And it’ll be fine. You posting at all disqualifies your opinion. Shrugs.

Stop it. You are not qualified to judge anyone.  Who you got at LT, Mr, Just fine?  RT?  RG?  The OL was in the bottom half of the NFL and nearly all of them are free agents (except overpaid Paradis)--so what in the hell are you talking about?  if you think surrounding a franchise QB with a line that "wasn't that bad"  and is not returning is something you can live with, then go live with it, but do not try to convince me that you know what you are talking about--you do not. Seriously, are you a troll or something?

Could also come down to money, FL like Texas has no income tax, in NY his tax bracket would put him at around 8.5% NC would be about 5.25% either place he's looking at making 250-300k LESS per year.

Just look at Cam with Nate Chandler at G in 2013, or RW in 2020 when he had to face NFL caliber DLs.... the single reason other than coaching for the Texans lack of success with Watson is their failure to give him a line... we sacked him 6 times... when we averaged 2.25 per game THIS season.

San Francisco. Watson in Shanahan's system could be something to watch.

And while I know what fans think about them, I wouldn't discount the Jets.

49ers, they're Super Bowl ready.

People rarely include it but money, yes he signed his deal but he would be going from 0% state income tax to 12.5+% several million just in state tax.

Jalen Ramsay just said during an interview that Watson is heading to LA.

Not sure how that's even remotely possible.

Yeah, I don't either. The Rams are already $31M in the red for next year and Goff has them hamstrung. They also don't have a 1st round pick to offer this year. The only way this works is if there's a way for them to include Goff and his contract in the deal and for the Texans to be interested in that which they shouldn't be.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
