No it doesn't when we are talking about the NFL. Great players in college dont always translate. Im not saying he's a bad qb and I really like him.  But not for 3 #1s, several #2s and 2 defensive starters. No, he isn't worth that

Watson is a 3 pipes and a snort dream, people just need to let go of that goofy idea!

Relevance?

he made a point that when you have a chance to grab a legitimate MVP QB you have to do it. you cant just say youre gonna build your roster first and then get one later, you arent always going to have a chance to do that. the reason its relevant is because hes absolutely correct, you can have holes in your roster but if you have an MVP caliber Qb youre always gonna be at the dance

Yeah with fuging Evans, Godwin, Gronk, Miller, a top 5 OL, and vastly improved defense. Watson was being held back by the worst defense in the league and personnel decisions within his organization are being made by a pastor.

It's crazy how people can continue to question Brady.

He's won SEVEN Super Bowls. We might never win one.

He's significantly better than Watson - thats just the facts of the matter.

Tbt to all the guys on here that thought he was good bc of his 5-0 record on the saints! Zero football knowledge

After I actually went and watched those 5 games and realized Teddy was carried by a potent Saints running game and Michael Thomas bailing Teddy out with miraculous wizardry catches, I knew it wouldn’t end well. I’m on record many times last offseason saying Teddy was no better than Kyle Allen for a much more expensive price.

I do think we are working ourselves into a position where we simply won't be able to roll with Teddy next year.  The whole team sport thing doesn't work that well when your starting QB knows a franchise doesn't want him.

I think the end result will be us forcing our own hand and trading a poo ton to move up in the draft to get a QB.

There are too many options for us to fail at replacing teddy.

Are there?

There is the draft? But we aren't sitting in a safe position to get one of the main 4.  We will need to move up.  Which is fine but I think we are going to work ourselves into a desperate position where a team takes us for a lot simply because we won't be able to roll with the status quo.

Outside of a mega deal to get Watson (longshot)....we likely are just swapping band-aid QBs on par w/ Teddy and tying up more pointless money IMO.   I personally don't want any QB not named Watson that is out there.  Is there really a point to bringing those dudes in?

your mind is made up it appears. There are many options at play for us. Just going to have to let it all play out.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
