We need a DT signing before the draft.  Stupid short-handed at that spot, unless anyone is banking on Panasiuk to be a key contributor.  If his name doesn't ring a bell, he was on the practice squad most of last season.  Yeah, that's our #3 DT right now and an injury away for starting.  I'm all for drafting a DT, but I would rather not double dip at that position considering all the needs we still have left to fill in the draft.

I’m with you, but we also desperately need a vet DB

So dumb to wavie Kerr, unless its a injury deal(no reports). Like CB, theres still some players that even normies can recognize. I know about Panasiuk, said to love the weight room and be very strong(like all DL). They chose to wavie Bruce Hector too, he was a philly guy that Pat Steart knew of. Cards traded for him, wavied him, went back to philly, and panthers had him on the PS for the whole year. Didnt resign Hector either, seems they want a different skill set form DT.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
