Got to wonder what this guy thought about Darnold. He had to have some imput...right?   He is now the guy to help him recover from being a Jet.  Hope they both are good and succeed.

In a division with Tom Brady and Matt Ryan, the Panthers have....Sam Darnold. How many times did Darnolds jets beat Brady again ?

i am really tired of this owner....and his process.  Year 4 of losing incoming

I wish I could be optimistic but Rhule is still div 1 to me

He probably sees a chance to look like a hero if Darnold is even decent. There's no downside for him here. If Darnold sucks, he was already a bust. If he looks good, then Ryan fixed him. All reward no risk for Ryan here.

Made some slight adjustments to your comment, not sure why you're being negative if this is the case.

@ladypanther Did you write that on his wikipedia page? Always consider the source...

Seriously though, I do like Ryan and I'm sure he's on board with the Darnold project. Darnold has the physical talent that Teddy didn't have here, we've got the weapons and depending on how the draft goes we may have the OL too. This will be Brady and company's true test. This offense really should be top 5-10 in the league easily with the amount of talent we have, definitely looking forward to it.

And Brady’s influence on teddys career resurgence. Oh wait

almost like burrow chase Jefferson CEH etc made Brady’s job easy at LSU

Teddy had career highs and was put in over 8 situations to walk his team down field and be the hero. That is the definition of a player being held up by coaching and play calling while being held back by physical limitations and mental toughness.

Teddy Bridgewater  had career highs in TDs, yards, completions, completion percentage, yards per game, and QBR in 2020.

I'd say Brady had a pretty good influence on Teddy.

Nailed it. The Panthers maxed up Bridgewater in 2020. It turns out his max just isn't very good. Is Darnold's impactfully better? We're going to find out in short order.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
