It does feel like we’ve paid a decent amount again to “broken” players again. We done awful with FAs the past few years with only a couple exceptions. Spent a ton of money on retreads and injured players and it hasn’t worked out. Here’s hoping it does. We need a little luck because we are paying a decent amount to guys other teams don’t seem to want.

A problem inherent when shopping in the Kmart bargain bin.  Cap gets better next year, we'll be able to shop at Target.

I go back to saying I think this is truly year one of the rebuild rather than year two.

These are moves like I might expect in a year one.

I would tend to agree with this. Fans and team alike need to show patience of building the team the right way as this is likely a 3-4 year rebuild to the top of the division. However I think if we draft a QB this draft then they are trying to accelerate that schedule.

Would not mind Rasul Douglas being re-signed could be solid depth at CB

As long as it does not hinder development of young players.  I want to see how Pride makes the transition from rookie to sophomore.  Hartsfield was listed as a S, now they have him as a CB and he was playing some nickel.  This should keep Jackson away from their #1 WR, which is good.

@MikeKlis
Details of A.J. Bouye's 2-year, $7 mill deal with Carolina:
2021: $2.45M sign bonus
$1.075 salary, guaranteed
Total: $3.5M
2022: $2.18M roster bonus
$1.27M salary
$50K per game roster bonus
Signing bonus was good agent work as Bouye's 2-game suspension doc comes out of salary. #9sports

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
