There Appear To Be 2 Favorites To Land Teddy Bridgewater

Recommended Posts

Teams are going to have to deal with the fact we are not releasing him. Allowing him to seek a trade is just beneficial to both parties. If he's not traded he will compete with Darnold.

Makes the most sense. They will not trade up to draft a QB so the best option is to bring in competition for Lock

Well they might see how the draft pans out then make the call. Trading away a 3rd this year for teddy and his contract would be about right or a second and 6th next year.

I hope we don’t fug this up. Just take an offer and don’t be greedy. Anything that gets the full $18M in savings is worth it.

Makes no sense to give up Teddy and make concessions to pay his salary. Will need him to take over anyway once Darnold produces more of the same of what he did with the Jets.

Any trade that we don’t end up paying for all $10M guaranteed makes sense. Saving $8M of salary this year is the floor since Teddy has proven he’s what we thought a middling QB who can’t win you a game. If we can’t save money but get a pick, woo hoo. If we save a bunch more money and get a 2040 conditional 7th, woo hoo. Teddy ain’t the answer and many in here knew it when we signed him and it’s a shame we didn’t have our go for a top pick at all costs hat on and realize that signing Teddy was as bad for our future as Matt Kalil. Yep, I went there.

Do you think he will take a pay cut before being traded? Also who would be our backup?

From what I was reading Denver is wanting us to eat a chunk of his salary for a trade to happen. As long as it’s less than his dead cap space and we get something in return it’s totally worth it.
