Draft Day 3 General Discussion

Chuba 2000+ yards in 2019.  7 runs 50 or more yards.  Would have been a 1st rounder if he had come out last year.  But he got in the coaches dog house in the of season because of an argument and was benched much of the time in 2020.

Love this pick.

This argument that trading down still at this point is wasted time.

If it's so much more difficult to find good football players at thus point in the draft ( not true, but for the sake of this stupid argument let's go with it), then having more picks at this point in the draft gives us.much better chances at finding the good ones.

I get all the trades for more picks now for OUR TEAM. Rhule is a team builder. He can either try and create an identity on a team by hoping you selected a few really talented guys correctly and they can create what you want, or you flood the roster with guys maybe a little less talented, but are exactly the cultural fit and style you want for your kind of football. We’re building the back half of our roster with Rhule type guys so in the future, we just need to sprinkle on super game changing talents. It’s not a bad idea.

Just like it possible you trade up for a player who can't make it on Field but you're still paying him more money then the 3 players you might get trading down and taking more swings..

So are you suggesting that teams trade down and only draft in the 6th round? To me it is suggesting that the scout team is not good at their jobs… This is a risk averse approach. I will give them the benefit of the doubt this year since COVID limited the amount of tape for this years picks. In future years I would rather trust the scout team to do their jobs and target the correct players for each round.

Whoa! I thought he was injured/covid risk during the season. The coach benched him that long over an argument?

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
