Do you have a mortgage?

If so, do feel an obligation to pay it back?

What a terrible comparison.

Breaking a contract with the bank will usually leave you homeless with no credit.

Breaking an NFL contract usually means you get to buy real estate in a new town.

That’s not really true. He gave up $10M in salary for 2021 and all of his salary in 2022. While we paid $7M of the guaranteed money and the Broncos paid $3M of the guaranteed money, Teddy agreed to a total of $11.5M salary for 2021 instead of $21M. The Broncos didn’t have to pay him much of his non-guaranteed money, just $1.5M. Teddy is forgoing almost $10M in his original deal for 2021 and has no contract past 2021.

If it's not guaranteed it doesn't count.

You are correct in that TB5 actually picked up an extra $1.5 million in th process.

You are certainly entitled to an opinion, no matter how flawed...

Probably because the producer was in his ear, yelling “SAY ON THE AIR! ON THE AIR! KILL THE CALL! KILL THE CALL!”

So true. I mean no NFL player has ever collected a penny of not guaranteed money. Teddy lost out on salary due to teams, including us, realizing he just doesn’t have it.

Yet he will collect 100% of his guaranteed money + $1.5 million more.

There was an expectation by some that he would settled for less than his guarantee in order to get out of town...nope.

Let's see what Julio is willing to do if he's really serious about wriggling out of the bonafide contract he is obligated to...

    • PFF feeds the beast.  So it’s largely popular for that IMO and is embraced by the NFL machine because it helps feed the beast.  Thats why you see the cute stats pop on the Monday Night football screen lol.  Hot takes? Fantasy football? Yeah, it’s good for the NFL machine for lots of reason.  I do think the league embraces them.  Not because they are actually good at doing what they claim. actual analytics folks are critical of PFF.  Because it’s not analytics.  It’s subjective goobly goo ratings by dudes that aren’t really qualified nor even have the info to do real grading.  you got legit NFL players who say they have literally put PFF grades by the coaches grades and they are worlds apart.  Players have laughed at them pretending they can grade certain plays without the underlining info.  NFL coaches have called out there bologna at pressers.   could it be a quick tool to find out some info that has nothing to with their subjective grades? Sure.  There is a lot of data on 32 teams for cheap. But I do not buy the narrative 32 NFL teams think their grades are worth a poo or remotely accurate or meaningful.
    • Bills D looks like ass
    • I think that win vs Dallas gave them a big boost of confidence.  Thats a team that blew us out the past 2 seasons. Even when Bryce was playing okay late last season they still beat us pretty bad.  Lets see if we slaughter the Jets or go back to playing sloppy uninspired football and go from there.
