Why on the last comment? It kind of seems obvious. He didn’t do much at all, 6 tackles. I think he’s basically saying that he knew he was officially done. He could have retired after we let him go but he wanted to try another year and welp, that’s it, career’s over time to move on from football.

I assume you are trying to insinuate he’s saying something bad about Ron, but I don’t think he’s pulling a Teddy and blaming his results on coaching.

Not necessarily about Ron, but potentially about the organization.

Granted, our organization wasn't exactly stellar for most of his years here. Given the faith they showed in him though, his opinion might be different.

Yeah, I don’t think it was anything more than he felt he wasn’t done after we let him go. He got another year and realized he was done and got his closure. Simple as that. While I still don’t think much of Ron’s coaching skills and Marty’s GM skills or even Snyder’s owner skills, that statement was purely a self realization.

Very possible.

There's a saying that the length of the average NFL career is one year too long.

Or that he realised he couldn't hack it in the NFL anymore. That's a form of closure too.

And good for him.

Stupid rich, Retired at 30, handsome, all the time in the world to dick around with his hobbies.

Killing it.

Good for him.

He'll probably be feeling some kind of itch in a few years when the bucket list items are mostly checked off.

I'm guessing he will eventually end up on one of the pregame sports talk shows eventually.  Whenever he comes in from the wild that is.

Yep, I bet he felt a little itch, signed up to be a scout and then was like WTF am I doing this when I can enjoy my retirement.

My angle is he felt bad about early retire and had to do something as good faith. I can not help to think what this team with him still manning the middle. Playoffs last year and this...maybe even no TB SB too....

He still stuck the panthers high dead cap via the Herniay special....

Maybe, but he clearly didn’t enjoy scouting as much as just getting on with no football.

That said we don’t make the playoffs last year even with Kuechly and we certainly don’t stop TB. When Cam hurt his shoulder, even Luke had no chance to get us to the playoffs without a good QB.

I think hes a better fit for coaching than scouting, I base that mainly on his interview with DJ. Man Luke is true difference maker, the whole defense plays better and in a way so does the offensive given they have more snaps with Luke controlling the field. TB is a far out statement, just Luke could have upset the time line and gave other Defensives a look at how to stop Tom/Bruce. I believe Luke has a winning record against both Tom/Bruce(my guess). TB was 7-5 before they went on the run of all runs.

Luke for sure could have help win a couple of those 0-8 one score games that everyone blames Yeddy on.....D could have got a stop to prevent going down, get more TO/stops(3rd down we were poop).....ALL of that Luke helps greatly, hes like a 2-3 WAR to steal a baseball term. Panthers were in the playoff hunt til week 16. He would have raised the DLs, LBs and DBs level of play. About 70% of the time hes calling out the play and where its going, my god does that help tons!.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
