Sam not look his best on this throw, but Shi sure is.  In a deep WR draft, I'm glad he fell to us.  I think he'll contribute immediately on special teams, and eventually will be WR3 with a good chance to be WR2.

Shi has really good route running. Surprised.

Honestly, my biggest takeaway from that clip was just how badly Shi Smith burned Juston Burris.

Ask Darnold to not throw a pass like I seen on that video yesterday where he threw it nowhere near Arnold.

Are you referring to the pass that was NOT thrown by Sam which was intercepted?

Or was it something else?

It does look like he's throwing a bit behind the receivers but that's what OTA's are for :   To PRACTICE and get the timing down of where to place the ball where only the receivers can get it.

Lol no the one yesterday they posted where he was throwing to Arnold.

oh okay.

Didn't see that one but judging from the vids I've seen in this thread, he needs to work better to LEAD the receiver instead of throwing behind him.

It's all about working on TIMING.

Exactly Burris is worse than Boston. I don't know what we see in him. He was straight trash last year. Sam Franklin-Myles Hartfield>>>>>>Burris and its not close. Really hope we upgrade at FS next year. We def have some great box guys in Chinn and Franklin as his back up, but likely starter this year.

Per Alaina Getzenberg of the Charlotte Observer, only two players on Carolina’s 90-man roster were not on the field for Wednesday’s practice: wide receiver Robby Anderson and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones.

Wide receiver DJ Moore said Wednesday that getting so many players to attend the voluntary workouts was important “because we are one of the youngest teams in the league.

Who the hell was covering him on that.  They got smoked.
So nice to be actually excited about prospects after the first round.  What a new concept.

    • not sure if any of this is news, but a good summary of our situation heading into training camp.  It's sure gonna be good getting Derrick back. After missing virtually all of the 2024 season, Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown is aiming for a full return to the field during training camp later this summer, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. Brown tore his meniscus in Week 1 and underwent season-ending surgery that has kept him limited through spring practices, though he did participate in “walk-throughs and light side work” during mandatory minicamp, according to Person. Brown originally stated a desire to be ready for the 2025 regular season, but his timeline appears to have moved up. Brown’s injury was particularly disappointing after a career-best 2023 season. He led all defensive linemen with 103 total tackles and was named to his first Pro Bowl, earning him a four-year, $96MM extension from the Panthers in April 2024. While he has never been a prolific pass rusher, Brown’s size and power has consistently commanded double-teams and created opportunities for his teammates. His impact was evident last season, as Carolina’s run defense ranked dead-last in his absence. The Panthers spent significant resources this offseason on defensive line depth, which should allow them to manage Brown’s usage more carefully coming off a major injury. He played a whopping 940 defensive snaps in 2023 (89% of the team’s total) and was on the field for almost every play before his injury last year. With new teammates Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown III, and Cam Jackson ready to share the load, Derrick Brown can take a lower snap share to stay fresh and healthy for the entire season. Here are a few updates on other Panthers returning from injuries:     https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/06/panthers-injury-updates-brown-tremble-barno-wallace
    • Yeah it's kind of like they don't want him on the team anymore for some reason
