Well that is disappointing to hear but not all that surprising. I assumed he would at least play G for us this season but I am still happy with the Christensen pick. NFL is a massive jump from BYU (Zach Wilson will learn this the hard way) and I still believe there is a lot of upside in pass pro once Christensen gets up to speed. Maybe it takes him a year or two. As long as he is coached up and gets there, thats fine.

Unlike Little, Christensen is highly athletic.  It's obvious that he has to step up and play with the big boys now and has some growing to do to get there.

I'm in agreement that he probably won't see the field until the end of the season or next year.   I believe he is worthy of his pick and will produce.

The same logic would have to be used for Gase  though.  They went to the playoffs year 1 too.

Tannehill had a winning record with Gase though.  They went to the playoffs year 1 too.

So did Sam.
In 2019, Sam had a winning QB-rec, his 1st year with  Gase.
In 2016, Tannehill, had his ONLY winning QB-rec in SIX YEARS, in Miami.  His first year with Gase.

In should be noted, the Dolphins had a BETTER record WITHOUT Tannehill than with him that year.

Meanwhile the Jets didn't win a single game  in 3 years when Sam didn't play.

BTW
Tannehill's int% in 2016 was 3.1%.
        Sam's int% in 2019 was 2.9%.
That's right.  Sam threw interceptions at a LOWER rate than Ryan Tannehill in their best years with Gase.

For someone that constantly whines about being insulted, while insulting others and runs to the report button.

I dunno.

Maybe he is on to something.

Aw, aren't you sweet to notice. Find me one post where I complain about being insulted that doesn't come from FUdude. That's ok, I'll wait. I don't expect you to actually look. That ain't your style.

If we can get a 3 year starter on a 3rd round contract I can live with developing for a year. Not the end of the world. Have alot of dead money coming off this year so extend DJ and get a Tackle via 1st round or FA like another said.  If Brown starts 2-3years here at guard on a rookie deal even better! Both guards on a rookie deal will free up money for other positions.

Drafting Justin Herbert didn’t fix their oline. They are still a bad oline but their offense as a whole was much improved and scored 50 more points than the year before with a rookie QB. Now they can build around him. If the QB you believe in is there, you go get him. Then you can pair up a stud tackle the next year to protect him like Slater in this draft.

No argument there.

Know what that ultimately means? They didn't want Fields.

Do we really deserve it?

No, no we don't. But this place is a mess right now. What with the bullies, and all the negativity. He just adds to the watering down of teh Huddle. Too bad too, this place used to be a great place. Nowadays, not so much.

We had the All Pro section for a few years, and that helped. But alas, that is gone by the wayside. I wish there was some other place to go.

What's the argument you are making?

We were discussing how Urban Meyer's QB are dog poo when they go to the NFL.  It's consistent no matter what college they came out of.  Great college QBs.  Horrible NFL QBs.   The Ohio St stigma is actually an Urban one IMO.  Which Fields isn't part of.

When Gase connected with those two QBs, they immediately had there best season.  Yet he is at fault for everything when it comes to Darnold?

I think you may have responded to the wrong thread. Your last post in this thread was about Tannyhill, and Gase. Just an FYI
