Was Christensen the biggest surprise?

I know it was just the preseason and it was against backups so it has to be taken with a grain of salt, but I was pleasantly surprised with Christensen.  Especially at RT.  He had a couple bad snaps but overall I thought he had a pretty solid performance.  I know most of us have been hoping he would end up being good but as camp has went on I think a lot of doubt had started to creep in.  Most of the reports coming out were saying that the potential is there but hes definitely not ready, which is scary to hear about an older rookie.  Could it be that maybe he's just one of those guys that are better on game day?

Maybe so. Seemed like he was getting virtually no chance to start but he was by far the best OT we had on the field yesterday.

I think he just needs more and more game time. I think he learned some looks at least at playing against starting level talent a few plays to see what happens and more importantly see what they have with him.

To me yes, based off the amount of reps he was getting I thought he was hot garbage right now.

To be fair Burns, Reddick, Haynes, Miller, and YGM probably aren’t the easiest to handle in practice.

He is the kind of 3rd round guy that will go in for someones injury in the 6th game of the season and become permanent

The reports were from Zod. It's best not to trust his player takes.

Remember we started Gross out on the right side and he was a first round pick.  I think people are expecting too much out of a rookie 3rd round pick to come in and win the starting LT spot right away at one of the most difficult spots to play in the NFL.

He definitely was better than expected, but Tremble in the passing game is worth mentioning for biggest surprise as well.

No, he has all the tools(just not long arms per HC) so he should look ok at least the 1st gm. Him and Brown played well side by side so that's a plus.

A poor line can have a ripple and he showed better than anticipated.

We started Trent Scott, Matt Kaskey, Sam Tecklenberg, & our 6th rounder along side him so definitely give him credit.

The guy hustled that's for sure.  I didn't notice any penalties either.  Thats the way I like it, an offensive line that I don't notice.

I thought he had one of those false starts in the 3 or 4 they had in a row in the 4th?
