Cam Newton Released

I don't know if Newton's vaccination status played a primary role or even a major role in his release.

With that said, I have a really hard time buying Belichick's assertion that it played no role.

(granted, I have trouble believing Belichick in general)

Oh definitely. Belicheck knows the rules and would never admit it was the reason anyway.  I don't know if it was the only reason, but his missing time because he wasn't vaxed contributed to Jones taking over the first time offense, it seemed.

Sounds to me like ADHD which isn't a huge problem.

There's a big difference between learning differently (and/or having ADHD) and not knowing a playbook and needing to be  taught it by a rookie too.

That, plus the fear it could happen again at a time when it mattered.

These stereotypes about black qb's need to go the way of the dinosaur so future kids don't have to put up with dated preconceived notions based on nothing more than numbskullery that also gives way to criticism about the sincerity of smiles and listening to music in practice.

Ok. Talk about it in the tinderbox, then.

Post the quote.

"I call him 'The Dictator' in the huddle, because I really have problems with calling plays even in year eight," said Newton. "And he kind of helps me. And his playmaking ability on the field is just second-to-none."

"Calling a play shouldn't be a paragraph," said Newton, who then congratulated New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on becoming the NFL's all-time passing leader before juxtaposing himself to him when it comes to playcalling. "I was watching the (Monday Night) game, he called the play and I was like 'Naw. ... We're gonna have to call that a one-liner. 'Panther'! 'Tepper'! 'Rivera'! Somethin'! 'Cause I'll be in the huddle, I'm already tired. ... You only get so much time."

“I don’t know why plays are so long – calling a play shouldn’t be a paragraph,” Newton said with a chuckle. “I’ll be in the huddle, I’m already tired – I ain’t got time to say this, that, the third, the third, the third – ready ready, break – you only get but so much time.”

When your hero gets talked down, no one can accepted it.

Here are these hard to shallow pills about Cam.

Rob is still somewhat salty about having his ankles broken by Cam

Pat offense is difficult for any QB to learn

Bama uses lots of the same terms/plays/system form the pats, Jones had 4 years of study time, he should know more.

Clot shot is 1% of the reason why Cam is not signed.

All GMs, scouts, and coaches have a Cam file.

The league views him as free agent, * big part being he doesnt want to be a backup and bring lots of drama even if he was 'ok" with being a backup.

Greg Olsen helped Cam with play calls in huddle for his entire panther career.

Actually no there isn't. Its actually a learning difficulty and can also come with learning disabilities. What he explained is exactly how a ADHD brain functions. Also before we get into that it has nothing to do with IQ a lot of times. Sometimes its just how you process information.

What? There must be more of the quote. I haven't seen Nikovich explain that it was anything at all like ADHD, seemed to just be him making up bullshit.

Y'all, nobody thinks Cam is dumb.  Think of Drew Brees and Cam Newton as kids.

How did Cam become successful.  He has a rocket arm but can out athlete any player on the field.  Used his legs and arm and size.

Brees did not grow up by running over linebackers.  He is great not because he has gifts, but because he was prepared.  Instead of being 6-4, he watched film.  Instead of running for the first down, he had to be more prepared and anticipate.  He had to think more.  Does than mean that all black qbs are not thinkers?   No more than it means all white qbs are not athletes.  But if I can be great without studying the playbook, I am not as motivated to study the playbook.  If the only way I am great is to study the playbook, then I will memorize it.

All we see are the success stories; we do not see those who failed because they could not make it work their way.  This is not racism, it is survival of the fittest.  If the Bear does not scare you because you are bigger, stronger, or faster than the bear, you do not worry about protecting yourself against the bear when you camp in the woods.  If the bear could rip you to pieces, you do your homework before you camp and you either decide not to camp or figure out ways to outsmart the bear.
