Nice pick.  I recall liking him as a late-round QB in 2019 or so.  He had a better JR year than SR year, but at Florida International, who knows what kind of support he had.

Yep. me as well.  I also recall having folks say taking a day 3 QB (I think I was targeting him in the 5th for us) was akin to throwing a draft pick in the toilet.  Of course some would say that about drafting a long snapper too...

The kid has a big arm from what I recall, he just went to a no name school with mixed results.  You can tweak a QBs game with good coaching, but you can't teach a big arm.

He is also tall and young--he should be our backup by midseason if there is a need for a backup at any time before then.

Sounds like Josh Allen….he has the coaching staff now, Jordan Palmer can train him with Sam and Josh in the off season.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
