Not being a dick, genuinely asking, who has been placed on it without criminal charges or video evidence of a potential crime?

Giants kicker Josh Brown. He didn't face criminal domestic violence charges but the NFL's investigation landed him on the commissioner's exempt list anyway. I'm pretty sure Saints' LB Jonathan Vilma had his bountygate suspension overturned by arbitration and Goodell was like fug that, to the exempt list you go.

The way it's written, they can exempt list damn near anyone for "conduct detrimental to the game" and how are you gonna fight that? Who determines what that actually means? I would argue that Byron Bell's play in the field was detrimental to the game. Why wasn't he in the exempt list? LOL!

I dont think they can just sit him indefinitely?  At some point he's gonna file a grievance with the union.

I think he will be gone by week 4 tho...  There's gonna be a team with playoff hopes that loses their starter in the first few weeks of the season that'll be willing to pony up more than what anyones offered so far.

I was under the impression that he doesn't want to play for them anymore. He'll sit, be quiet, and make his money.

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
