On stadium changes

PSL owner since 2011 (thanks Jimmy) but first game since 2019. Observations of changes:

- geez they threw up skyscrapers fast. It's a different view. This was punctuated by the flyover taking a flight pattern over the stadium that it never had.

- was JJR BBQ owned by Jerry Richardson? Because while that was some of the best bbq I've eaten.. the replacement Carolina BBQ is nasty slop.

- there was no Keep Pounding chant. Not once. Nada. Very strange thing to take away. I thought for a moment it was a COVID thing (not prompting you to scream and spray cooties) but they still do the GET LOUDER and Stand up and Shout that everyone ignores. This was a very bad decision to quit prompting the chant.

- I don't get the end zone fancy seats. No one was in them Sunday other than a couple Jets fans. End zone seats.. especially ground level aren't good seats anyway. And taking away the experience of handing a TD ball to a kid in the stands in the end zone seems like a sad thing to me.

-no more purrcussion section on the field. Maybe Covid related. This also needs to come back.

Summer good changes.. but some I consider bad as well. But I'm glad to be back!

Completely agree.  I've sat virtually everywhere at one time or another but those seats seem terrible.  No way you can see the opposite end of the field at all from that low.

I love midfield uppers in the lowest rows.  You can see the plays developing in ways you won't see on tv.

This is super weak. "Keep Pounding" is one of the long-standing Panthers traditions that definitely needs to stay.

Nope. They did the drum but no stadium wide chant. Maybe your section got a small one going.. I did see one section trying to get a wave going that didn't work. I was in my seat from noon (which used to be "Phil time" - when they always played In the Air Tonight) until Sweet Caroline.. no chant once.

I don't remember the Keep Pounding chant at the game. The only time I left my seat was half time. It was hot as f@ck I do know that. I like the black panthers with the blue eyes in the endzone but I do wish the black endzones would come back. As far as the field level seats, I think that is more of a soccer things than  anything. I know the entrance at the 50 yard line is a soccer thing. The stadium was not close to full though. Did anyone else see that?

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
