8 rushes for 10 yards (1.3 YPC).  2 receptions for 4 yards

Yeesh.

Half of the rushes were garbage time runs vs the Saints with the Saints run blitzing and Carolina trying to run the clock out.

Not really judging his worth on mostly garbage time carries behind an o-line that got zero push on run plays

Yeah, I feel like he was hit a lot today before he really had a chance to make anything happen.  He also slipped randomly on the turf, so not a good  performance, but whatever.  We got the W

It's a tough gig.  Neither guy is getting great blocking...  almost every carry Chubba had today, the Saints were already in the backfield when he got the handoff.  CMC generating the offense he is with this line is a testament to both his experience and his talent/skill.  Chubba is a different style runner, and as a rookie, the line isn't allowing him to play to his strengths, at all.

There were two plays today that Chuba could have bloated those stats.

1. His first touch, he hit the wrong hole. He had a HUGE cutback lane that could have been easily 10+ yards
2. The play he tripped on his own feet. Huge hole and easily could have been the longest run of the day... but he fell over.

I hope next time he gets a chance, he is able to take advantage.

In other words our line stinks.
