C J Henderson probably won’t be asked to learn many schemes early on. After all, Horn was a lockdown guy, and Henderson also is capable of handling the side opposite Donte Jackson and/or A.J. Bouye. But as Rhule said, “Be patient with great talents.” So it sounds as if the Panthers are focused on getting the best out of Henderson in the long term.

By the time Horn recovers, the Panthers will have a good handle on Henderson’s capabilities. It shouldn’t be long after that until you see Rhule and Snow use them as CB1 and CB2, and Horn and Henderson could become one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL.

It was pretty clear there was no groin injury when Rhule said they expected he would play against the Cowboys before he had even arrived in Charlotte and gotten a physical. Only way he could have possibly known that is from the Jags during the trade talks when they likely said there was no injury and they were shutting him down until they could trade him.

I find it interesting that he looks smaller to me compared to Jaycee when we know for a fact they are the exact same height and weight. Might be that he wears bigger shoulder pads so the perspective is off.

Same. Jaycee seems like he has a much more physical presence.

He was on the official injury report with a groin/illness... we figured that was just due to him being involved in trade talks and him practicing right off the bat here confirms that, but he was reported as out for week 3 with a groin injury.

      That's usually the narrative when there aren't highly touted QBs or DEs. Off ball LB is the position this year. And there are some really good prospects. WRs are deep too. No generational level guys but very deep with solid options.  I would target CJ Allen in the 1st. I want a real ILB. Not a pass rusher that can move back. Not a safety that can move up. He's smart, tough, instinctive and durable. Dude had surgery on his meniscus and missed one game. One game. And... he's only played LB. Watching him control guards with his hands andsift through the garbage to get to the ball is refreshing. That's my guy in the 1st.

      It’s always a weak draft, next year is always better according to the draftniks. This is a weak draft for QB, WR, and TE. Theres only a few true LT. RB and DB are average. It’s a good class for the rest of the Oline, Dline, Edge, and LB.

      there is only a handful of blue chippers (Reece, Styles, Downs, Love, Bain) but overall its a pretty deep draft with solid players.  Really deep on the defensive side particularly lb's so that is in our favor.  Thats why I have been saying if styles is not there at 19 (he wont be) then try to pull a Rams/Falcons type deal and get another 2nd and first for next year.  IMO there really isnt much difference in quality of players at the back half of the first into the 2nd
