It's supposed to be a package deal for a lineman and Gilmore will be in it, but only if the other team takes the bait. They're not saying the details now and it's rumored the info if leaking from one of our scouts. Could be total bs.

Wonder if Carolina could flip Jackson instead of Gilmore for some OL help.

anyone else expect this to fall flat on its face? Reminds me of the Eric Reid signing, which he never met expectations. Much like CJ getting torched on Sunday, just because it looks good on paper/Madden, doesn't mean it works out. We still can't protect our QB and we still got exposed against the run.

Problem is our offensive line is so bad I don’t understand why we did this. It’s like we are in win now mode when we are just a rebuilding team.

Maybe because we ARE winning now?  Fitt and Rhule probably took a look around the NFC this year and said "Why not us"?  We can still rebuild and also contend at the same time.  Im sure they had a timeframe worked out as to when we would be contenders, but this team is too talented right now to waste this opportunity.

CJ Had tight coverage, it was just a great route and great throw. This is the NFL it happens. We are going to be nasty, imagine us against Tampa now! Wow

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
