We drafted a 3rd rounder. I’m glad we didn’t get Leatherwood earlier. He looks awful in Oakland.

Source. Three tackles and a guard taken in round 1. Three centers, four tackles, and a guard in round 2. A center, three guards, and two tackles were taken after BC. There were plenty of guys available outside of Leatherwood. They had several opportunities to select more Oline help. They just decided not to. Hopefully they spend most of next year's draft on the Oline. Well, what picks the team has left that is.

I completely understand the worry about not drafting more OL during last years draft. However, it takes a while to get up to speed at those positions, and we need some serviceable veterans. I think we should be more active in Free agency next season and add linebacker to that list.

Jenkins hasn’t  played as stated. Our staff wasn’t high on Slater playing tackle so we don’t draft him at 8. Who exactly did you want and with what pick? It will mean losing players like Tremble, Marshall, Chuba, etc that were picked in the 2nd or acquired through trading down. It’s easy for us to say they should have drafted this or that but the opportunity has to exist and there will be a trade off. Our staff can’t revamp an entire roster/depth in 2 offseasons.

Yeah we traded our 2nd round pick.  We could have kept that 2nd and got Tevin Jenkins.  We traded that pick with the Bears who took Jenkins.

Instead we chose Marshal in the 2nd, and with the extra picks, Chuba,  Tremble and Nixon.

People were pissed we passed on Jenkins. Tevin Jenkins hasn't played a snap due to back injury and the Bears have 16 sacks on the season, 2nd worst in the league.

Liam Eichenberg was my pick for 2nd rounder, phins picked him and currently have him as a LG. I thought he was the last chance at a decent LT, sewell was the really the only one and hes playing like a rookie. I swear finding a great rookie LT is way harder than finding a great rookie QB....

2-3 (if you count LS or not) of our 10 picks were spent on OL. None were worth the 8th pick not named Sewell and we got 1st round talent in Marshall with our 2nd pick. The next pick was Christensen and a couple later Brown, and Fletcher. We didn’t ignore it, but drafted BPA in the first 2 rounds and then worked on needs, which offensive line was clearly seen as one. Our draft was fine we got a potential shut down CB, 3rd WR than will develop into a 2 or 1, starting TE, backup RB, rotational DT in Nixon, potential slot WR in Smith, and Christensen and Brown can develop into starters. You can’t ask for a better draft IMO. We were just a team with a lot of needs that couldn’t all be addressed.

Jets drafted line 1st round last year.  They drafted line 1st round this year.  They traded for Morgan Moses with a very high PFF for RT.

They have higher Press% than we do and are 2nd in sacks with 16.

    • I am gonna believe it wasn’t us if the 4th round pick price is accurate. We needed 225 points to get from 19 to their pick. 875 at 19 to 1100 at 14.  Our 2026 4th was valued at 56 points I think. A future 4th has less value. So that wasn’t close to enough.    It would have taken our third and our fourth. Comes within a point of even.    Now, moving to their spot in the second round we could have done but after Miami took Rodriguez why would we?
    • Yep,and Blake Miller have had more experiences than Freeling,Lions did not sigh a vet T like Walker,so they had to pick Miller.
    • I mean it's expected.  This is the NBA.  And they hate the Charlotte Hornets.  Flagg was also the guy "magically" given to the Mavs who lost Luca to the wildly popular Lakers.  Was always an uphill battle.  But the award is BS since it's not voted on before play-in starts. Kon probably lost because of the play-in as many people switched votes.  It was a regular season award, so this is some nonsense.  Kon also didn't have the luxury of taking 10 games off to rest up injuries like Flagg did.  If he did, he wouldn't have been nursing his back the last month.  I mean, screw him for being on an actual playoff team that matters.  Flagg took tons of shots a game, he was wildly inefficient.  Kon was a huge reason the Hornets made the play-in and turned the season around after Jan.   I think Flagg will probably be the better player long term, or at least the most impact.  But Kon should have won ROTY.
