Has a lot to do with probability imo...in these tough times anyway you could go to a game and probably see a team that usually collapses collapse or watch it from home. Real or not, cities like Philly, Pittsburgh, NYC have an "edge". Charlotte has never had an edge and never will. It's southern hospitality, it's good ol boys, it's country, it's NASCAR, etc. Not to mention it's a banking city where the wine and cheesers far outnumber the blue collar folk ... especially when it comes to ticket purchases. You'll never be Philly Fan or match the sheer insanity of crowds that the Yankees and Red Sox deliver during the Playoffs for example. Just be happy you have a team, love them, and don't worry about who comes into "your house" because your house has a welcome mat.

Was reading a ton of people on Twitter talking about how bad it was at the stadium today. Saw where one person and their child got a nice beer bath from visiting Eagles fans.

It’s been like that as long as I’ve been around. I’ve been going to games since 95 when it was at Clemson and had PSLs for nearly a decade, it’s never really been like that. I think it was even described as a “wine and cheese” environment at some point.
 

Closest I can remember it being somewhat hostile is 2013-2014ish. There was a stretch in 2004-2005 where the fans were pretty emotional.

i’ve been going to games since 1999 and it’s a rollercoaster

after 2003 up until Jake meltdown in 2008, it was actually really good

also from about 2013-2016 it was really good 

and if you’ve ever been to a playoff game in Charlotte, it’s the loudest most hardcore fans you’ll ever see in any stadium (and I’ve been to 10 other stadiums)

Reality is, without back to back winning seasons and losing overall…the fans aren’t going to show up and pay $ for that poo

JR was a business man he wasn’t interested in wins above revenue, fans won’t respond to that, despite sending out heartfelt ‘didn’t know it would be THIS bad’ letters to them

honestly I don’t blame people for not showing up consistently

Maybe fans don’t believe in Rhule or Darnold or Tepper 

I was there today. Just like every other big fan base, it was about 25% the other team 

guess what, even in Dallas, that happens  

if you care so much, buy a ticket and show up 

IMHO you should be a lot more worried about the product on the firld than the fans watching it 

I assure you, that product offensively and special teams and perhaps the coaching staff is subpar 

if you can’t do without  CMC then you best be drafting a replacement as he is made of glass last season abd trending that way this season.

It's tough when your best player is a RB. Casual fans want to see a QB put on a show, but Sam looks like the 32nd best QB in the NFL when CMC isn't out there.
