Hindsight is 20/20

What does anyone ever hope to accomplish by asking these questions?

There's no way of knowing all the "whats" we know now (and anyone who says they did is full on delusional) and there's now way of changing it, so why fixate on it?

None of that matters. All that matters is what we do now.

Man, that greasy 7 layer burrito with extra hot sauce and sour cream really triggered an emergency code brown while I was Wal-Mart. In hind sight I probably shouldn’t have eaten it.

Don’t get this Najeh Davenport stuff you keep posting.  What is the deal?

If Rhule and Fitterer know that Henderson and Gilmore will be available via trade do they draft Slater instead of Horn?

Then the question becomes…If you gave up a 3rd for Henderson mid-season would you have been better off giving up a pre-draft 2022 2nd and using 2021 1st on Slater? Seems like the classic conundrum of “which elite player is more valuable…OT or CB?” I think the answer is obvious.

Hindsight is always 20/20 and I love Horn and think when he comes back healthy he’s going to be a pro-bowl DB. But the thought that we could have had Slater, Henderson, Gilmore is painful right now.

Yikes.

It’s not hindsight 20/20. There were some beliefs prior to the draft that Gilmore would not be back in NE.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
