Does anyone have any faith we beat the Giants?

At this point it’s clear the wheels are coming off for this team. The cracks were apparent from early in the season, but they were masked by elite play from CMC on offense, and by playing some bad opponents on defense.

The inexperience of the coaching staff is becoming more obvious every week. Injuries are taking their toll as well.

All that said, the Panthers probably aren’t as bad as we think they are, but the season might be over before we see them prove it.

The Panthers should come out and demolish the lowly and injury decimated Giants next week. It might be enough to get the team back on track and regain some confidence. A loss, and well, I don’t see them winning another game this season.

What a mess this season is shaping up to be. Yet another miserable Panthers season.

Even if the game was at BOA it would be like a road game anyway.  I was at the game in 2018 with the Gano 63 yarder and it was 50/50 at best.  They were louder than the home fans and talking poo the entire time too.

This is pretty much the norm except for a few teams. It’s gotten worse since Cam left.

Nope. With the offense regressing as much as it has over the past few weeks I don’t think we’d beat the Jets, Saints, or Texans in a rematch currently.

We are legit playing like one of the worst teams in the league outside of a few flash plays from the defense.

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
