he f*cking sucks, throws a few picks and can't bounce back. has the mental fortitude of a 6 year old.

I noticed that ever since Cam started at QB, whenever the starting QB (no matter who it is) throws an interception in a game, we have a much, MUCH higher chance of losing. It's almost a guaranteed loss once the QB throws a pick. I am sure there is some advanced stat out there for it.

Well of course he drops back too quick.  If he doesn't, his linemen would be being pushed back over him otherwise.

That's actually....a valid point.   Sadly.

He's probably thinking that if he takes too long in dropping back, he'll have a defender basically teabagging him the moment he stops his dropback.

Sam sucks donkey dong but once again it all comes down to the O-Line being a bag of dongs, too.

No wonder we're in the mix for Watson...

What a f*cking mess this is...

Well as he points out.  That isn’t what is actually happening on all these plays he is referencing.  It’s Sam out of whack.  And the right throw doesn’t happen.  And if it does, it’s then late and wrong since Sam isn’t in sync with anything.    The playcall works.  But Sam is so out of whack he can’t make it work.  He just fugs the works up.

and you basically are defending Sam for playing poorly because of the belief of what could of happened.  That didn’t.   And it was just him in the end being bad.  So it’s faulting the OL when they do their job

It’s why the right call was always for him to be sitting somewhere like Trubisky.   To see if his game can ever develop be fixed to get back on the field.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
