Would you trade one of our two 5th round picks for Minshew right now…..

PJ?, the guy who was several times worse than Darnold when he got in? 3 of 14 PJ?

Nah

Yes...the guy when he has had a full week to prepare as a starter is 1-0 with this team. Show me how many qbs are successful when they are thrown in at the end of games when defenses know you are passing and can just pin ears back and rush? PJ aint the answer but lets not act like he has gotten a fair shake when it comes to his failures.

Right now it seems the best approach simply looking at the QB room would have been to draft Mac Jones and trade for Minshew or simply kept Bridgewater. I'm not sure if the Teddy bridge was too burned. Now it seems he was likely correct about Joe Brady.

PJ is terrible, just like Darnold. Not even worth discussion.

And I can point to several backups who come in late in games and move the ball much better than PJ did. You are a Panthers fan, right? We've seen that story unfold on us countless times.

If we weren't already short a 2nd and 3rd, I would. It's tank time now.

There's no reason to tank. We might wind up sucking anyways but we need to start building a winning culture rather than worrying about draft position. No QBs next draft are can't miss prospects. This past draft was supposed to be one of the best QB drafts ever and they all suck so far and all their teams are bad.

Winning culture... 😂

That's what Rhule sold Tepper on. How's it looking?

The best way to build a winning culture is to build a winning roster. This roster we've assembled... oh wee mayne. Good thing we've gutted our draft capital to build it.

If building a winning culture was the goal we've gone about it comically wrong. Six draft picks for Sam Darnold and three cornerbacks isn't doing anything to help that while our oline falls apart and we get blown out of the stadium by the Giants. It wasn't going to get significantly better in just one season yes but it should not have gone the other way. We are worse off than we were last year. That's mismanagement.

TBF, if we did not have injuries to our starting RB,MLB,CB,SS among other injuries here and there we would be a better team than we were last year and not sitting at 3-4.

This team is not built for having multiple injuries to key players. We are one of the youngest teams in the league with little to no depth.

Excuse me sir the Giants were also missing their starting rb and three wideouts but they blew the doors off us. The injury excuse isn't going to fly.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
