You said the same thing about Bridgewater

Yes. Teddy is Teddy.  He was before Carolina.  In Carolina.  And now in Denver.

the deep ball he made today? He did the same thing on a rare play in Carolina or NO or Minny.   It was a calculated risk.  And it wasn’t risky.  He will take those.  Worst case scenario is an incomplete because he over throws a one on one to the sideline

You can win an average amount of games with Teddy as long as you accept Teddy’s role.  Teddy was always better QB than Sam.  It’s why we were in every game late.    It’s was discussed at length this off-season.

and we would have winning record with Teddy.  That doesn’t make Teddy good.  Makes him competent.  But you are going to do anything with that matters or be legit contenders with him….just.be middle of the road.

Or a rookie QB behind an improved line which is totally possible that you left out for some reason bc you have no imagination

Omg

No, wat I don't have is an emotional or financial investment in this team, which is a painfully obvious commonality with you guys.

And, "improved" is a relative term and given the current O-line, an improvement doesn't amount to squat.

Imagine being SCARED to replace that guy bc you're scared to spend money in free agency and wanna draft a C in the top ten

Rhule is scared to replace/bench him because he traded 3 drafts picks and guaranteed him $18 million next before he even took a practice rep. Benching Darnold would be admitting to Tepper that he fuged up and has no idea how to evaluate or coach in the NFL. If he doesn't then fans are gonna start booing them during games or just not showing up at all. Either way I think Rhule is fuged

Darnold has won more games this season than either of those 2 combined with Carolina.

The version of Darnold after Dallas has been the worst multi game stretch for a panther QB period. Even that Dallas game was rough as hell and a lot of garbage time stats. So really he's been bad for over a month now. Soft schedule early with really green teams helped.

Then there was the Chris Weinke season that started with an unbelievable win in Minnesota, followed by 15 straight losses.

And once teams got tape on us and figured us out, we can't seem to adjust.   See Panthers circa 2020 for proof.

    • I can't help but think that you are equating physical attributes alone with wins. I don't subscribe to that thought. No one will argue that Young has a strong arm, but he makes up for it in other ways. The real limitation for him is he needs good route runners with great hands. That's why Young was so good at the end of the 24 season. Thielen and Coker were perfect receivers for him and he had his best games with them. Not having them to start the 25 season hurt. Look at the first 10 games in 25 with a rookie receiver and no Coker and then look at the final 7 games with a more experienced rookie and Coker back and there is a telling difference in Young's performance. Prior to week 10, Young had 1 game with a QB rating above 100, 2 games with a rating above 90 and 6 games with a rating below 90. In the last 7 games with Coker back, Young had 3 games with a QB rating above 100, 2 games with a rating above 90 and only 2 games with a rating below 90. The tools a QB has to work with matter more than their arm strength.  To go back to Darnold and Stafford, yes they both have great arm strength but neither had much success with that alone. As I already pointed out, Stafford, even with a canon for an arm, only had 4 winning seasons in his first 12 years. It was only when he went to the right environment that he had true success.
    • I don't love this role for him if I'm being totally honest The pregame show is much more flash than substance and doesn't seem like the right fit for what Luke would bring to the table, and that's his vision of the game. I'd like to see him do something where it more involves him breaking down film and explaining what he's seeing out there, as he sees the game in a way very few ever have.
