You wake up in January 2022 and find out Rhule leaves to coach Penn State, how do you feel?

Bi-polar

Extreme happiness because the Panthers can learn from this experience.
Followed by deep depression because they have to start over again.

I like Rhule just fine, but I think that they need to get more experienced coaches on the staff and need to take away some of the talent evaluation responsibilities.

I don't mind Rhule, a lot of new to the NFL coaches have struggled their first few years, but he has to drop the ego.

All the coaches at this level are pros, you aren't special and you aren't going to work magic on these players.  Once a player has been in the league for a few years you have a pretty good idea of what you have.  The exceptions are far and few in between.

    • The guy was there last year as the OC, DC just insisted on calling the plays live. I dunno if it will look any different other than DC getting freed up to focus on clock and time out management. Best case scenario they force Bryce to throw downfield more to see if he's actually able to do it, I doubt they add QB sneaks or much more play action due to his size.
    • I thknk bringing in a new OC also had to do with Canales being extremely slow recognizing what was happening on the field. He couldn't be HC and OC effectively and it showed.
    • Aho I agree with. Freddie was meh - it would have been nice if he stopped one of the goals he allowed, but all of the goals are pretty much difficult saves that were the fault of our turnovers behind the net.  Ghost is what he is - a puck moving, capable scorer damn who is not very good defensively. He usually relies on Boom and our forward line to help him out. Aho and Jarvy (and to a lesser extent Walker and Miller) were the biggest no shows tonight. Staal line + chatty/Slavin were the only reason we didn't lose by 3+ goals
