Honestly, if anyone from the Panthers organization is watching, this board has been nothing but a doom and gloom bitchfest for the last few weeks to the point of being intolerable.

But this thread on a Thursday morning has over 200 comments in less than an hour, and the vast majority being excitement and positivity.

PANTHERS TAKE NOTE!

THIS IS A HUGE MARKETING WIN!

DO IT!!!

THEY KNOW.  SUPERMAN IS IN THE BUILDING TO SAVE THE DAY!!!

Newsflash: We weren’t winning poo with Darnold or PJ. At least Cam gives us a chance. If he fails we are no worse off for it. What’s the downside?

The downside is missing Corral or Howell

You guys are already bitching about Fields and Jones.

Cam will give us a few more wins no doubt. But not enough for the Playoffs. He's obviously better than Sam or PJ, how is that even a question. There is no downside either. It's just fan service. Like I said, it's great everyone is happy again, but it changes nothing. Still the same old Panthers. He is no savior ... but I do look forward to all the excuses he gets when things go poorly during games. One of the major things about Cam Fans I don't care for. He's too coddled by you lot. Just for once I'd like to see people be tough on the guy. Will never happen though. Anyway, looking forward to the game. It will be fun to see how it plays out.

He's still got it. Especially HERE. This will be a Cam Newton friendly offense for the first time since Chud.

No worries my man. Enjoy like it's our last.

That's fans wishful thinking.  This is a move to quiet angry fans and nothing more. It will not change the trajectory of the season.  We will be back to complaining about Cam being cut at the end of the season.

He will be the best QB we've had since Cam Newton.

I'm hyped!

If we use him like CMC early in the year, I am 100% with you. If we use him like CMC last game then I am very intrigued. Cam is older, I don't want to see young Cam. I want to see what I always wanted to see with Cam, an old man leading us to victory using his experience

The opportunity for that passed when he injured his shoulder.  He is no longer a threat in the passing game.  Fans need to accept that.

He's not getting benched for Sam. That's crazy

How about slightly different version.  Hey Cam, you want to come play a couple weeks? Then we are going to throw you back in the dumpster and roll with Sam Darnold and some folks next year? Sounds like a good deal for you?

Yeah, I I think they make Cam an offer they know he refuses.  This is PR. Rhule looking like a chump and doing damage control.   People clowned him hard yesterday.   It shuts them up.  If not not, it will get worse and worse with the Cam calls.  Now he will get to say we tried guys, Cam didn’t want to play here.

I mean I’d love to see him here.  No way Rhule and company are going to do him right.   And if he did take the bad offer, I’d probably hate to see the end of the story.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
