5 major factors blame for loss. Cat Crave

This team went for finesse at the tail end of the finesse trend.

I had no expectations of a high power offense at this stage with Newton. The Panthers win that game quite easily if the defense played anywhere near what we expected of them. It just seems they struggle hard vs certain offenses. Traditional offenses. They are geared for finesse offenses.

It’s frustrating as a fan to see the same mistakes being made over and over again. It’s like Rivera never left. But at least Ron had the players respect, does Rhule?

in our five wins we gave up on average around 50 yards rushing, in our losses we get destroyed by good running teams.

The O and D lines should’ve been the first thing Rhule addressed, and to some extent they did on defense, we still need guys who can stop the run.

Why Washington upset the Panthers…yes that was an upset.  They controlled the clock in the second half and made plays on third down (and 4th down).  They played very solid football on both sides of the ball and made a few more plays.  Same thing they did in the Tampa game.  Rivera and their coaching squad were really good.  They will continue to win with that game plan.  Lots of people hate that approach but it wins games.

Wash was in third and +4 yrds multiple times in this game and they converted.  TH made crazy plays.  Somebody needs to take him seriously if he keeps playing like that

These 3rd quarters this year for this team is freaking ridicoulous!

It's so obvious this staff has no idea how to adjust or play situational football without burning valuable timeouts. Rhule burned like 3 timeouts in a 1 minute stretch yesterday? People wanting to give Rhule more time just aren't seeing the fact that he's not good at the actual football part, he hasn't learned anything in 27 games, not gonna learn anything new next season unless Tepper forces him to get some real NFL guys on his staff to walk him through the basics.  Rhule just said Hurney taught him so much about how free agency works, RED FLAG

What a waste of some talented players.

Everyone wanting to give Rhule more time, we're not gonna be able to keep all this talent by the time he supposedly figures it out. There's numerous coaches that would take this roster over what they have right now and be in the playoff picture. It's weird they went all in on trades to get a winning roster but still calling the same garbage plays that haven't worked since the Dallas game

I feel this strongly

I’m sick of hearing.  Quote.  ‘  Congratulations to the other team. We shot  ourselves in the foot.  We did not execute. We had too many penalties’

im also sick of there never even being a hint of a long pass. One of the advantages of being at the stadium is seeing the whole  field

More than once,  Washington 5 5 1 defensive setup   Btw, it was no different with other QBS

I don’t know if it’s Rhule, Brady. The oline   They will never beat a decent team without the willingness to at least THREATEN the long ball

dont get me started on Snow’s personnel groupings

the blueprint on the Panthers o an d are out there and this coaching staff is not  capable of adjusting to it

People say Rhule is rebuilding

I just have no idea what he is building

the fact is, just like a house, you start with the foundation…the lines…he has a dline that gets pushed around against the big boys  hit them in the mouth and they don’t hit back.   He has a horrible oline   He brings back Cam, I believe to keep from getting lynched

honestly, that defense yesterday, looked like they quit.

The frustration of feeling that Tepper missed on this coaching staff is overwhelming

It's like Rhule and Co. are a bunch of guys that watched a couple of house flipping shows on DIY Network and said, "Look, this can't be hard, let's do it!".

Now they're stuck in a collapsing house with leaky plumbing, the wallpaper peeling off the walls, shingles put on the roof upside down and mismatched windows. They just keep running up a materials bill and failing to pass inspections.

It's time to pack it in and call in some professionals.

DJ played awful. The TD he gave up to Carter was just him getting fooled by the route and losing the WR. It’s not speed that gets him it’s that he’s not good at reading the WR and being there. He gets fooled a lot and uses his speed to catch up. McLaurin is fast enough that Donte only caught up to make tackles. The Carter TD was a perfect example of Donte’s problems over his entire career. He loses guys and they get big gains. He’s had a much better year this year than the rest but we’ve played 3 teams with elite WRs and they’ve scored 34, 34 and 27 against us. Sure, Atlanta where Gilmore is on Pitts and no Ridley or the Jets (Davis did have 2 TDs) or Houston or NE or Giants or NO without Thomas or Arizona with McCoy and no Hopkins or Philly are games where DBs should look good.

I really hope we let him go for a comp pick because anyone who pays a ton for Donte is going to regret it.

I’m not arguing he played well.  Obviously that didn’t happen.

What I’m suggesting is maybe our illustrious coaching staff didn’t need to put DJ on Terry 1v1?

And when they doubled Terry they used Shaq and Chinn?

If they picked on DJ it’s because Rivera knew of a weakness that our staff is apparently oblivious to because they never figured it out.

Unfortunately, I think we overestimate our talent. To most in here Brown and Burns are studs (Donte before Sunday), but are they? Every good game the D has played (less than 20 given up) has been when they were staked with a minimum of a 16-0 lead or they played the woeful Texans with Davis Mills or Falcons without Julio and Ridley. Other than that we’ve give up an average of 28 points per game in 6 losses but hey it’s been to legendary QBs like Daniel and Mack Jones, Heinecke and Hurts, guys that you’d expect would be able to easily dissect our D.

We as fans tend to overrate our own guys and man did some of our studs on D really disappoint this week.

No I’m thinking of Moore and CMC   they are both blue chip players, not drafted by Rhule   I don’t see any blue chip players drafted by Rhule. Horn may be but who knows   Brady might be a steal but who knows

Honestly on defense, it’s a struggle outside of Gilmore and Reddick. More and more, Burns is a one trick pony. As for Shaq, this last week, I think it had  more to do with Snow’s schemes than anything else. Brown is forgettable
