This is a big thing. I have no problem hiring guys you know and have worked with before, but Rhule takes it way too far.

His whole team would be made up of coaches and players from Baylor and Temple if it were up to him.

He's pretty close besides the rando Joe Brady and Sean Ryan hires. He inherited Moton/Shaq/CMC/Burns. Only Temple pay off has been Reddick and he's not gonna re-sign/we can't afford him after Robby and Darnold's shitty contracts. Rhule wanted full control with the JETS and even they were like nah dude, also give us 3 draft picks for Darnold who you decided you liked after one Zoom meeting

One of the reasons I like Hackett so much is that he's got the connections to build a hell of a good staff.

As an example, Hackett was previously on a staff with longtime OL coach Juan Castillo.

Castillo is currently with the Bears, so pretty good chance he's available next year.

Every seat to every game of this year has already been paid for. It’s just a matter of whether those people that paid full price can recoup pennies on their dollar or whether they no show that is the question.

This is what so many people don't understand.  Tepper gets his attendance money before the season even starts.  He doesn't care.

I think they’ll have to move on. This team is a mess. There’s some good candidates out there.

Nathaniel Hackett

Matt Eberflus

Brian Daboll

Bryon Leftwich

Kellen Moore (with a highly experienced veteran DC)

Guys I would get excited about. I like Eberflus the best, but Hackett might be the best to develop a QB.

Eric Bieniemy would be a great name on that list, too.

But not day of sales. Those are not shared and do matter.

The thing about billionaires is they tend to have egos to match their bank accounts. This is his team and it represents him in many ways. He cares, now we need to see him un-fug the mess he made.

If Tepper didn't care at all Cam wouldn't be back and we would have had to watch PJ and Barkley. Caring and being good/competent are not mutually inclusive.

That's some pretty good second level connections reasoning there! We've been missing that around here!

Honestly, at this point I want to see Barkley. Just for variety.

    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
    • I always thought of him as an uptight military family dude, didn't know he needs to wash that mouth out with soap lol.
