By that do you mean 4 out of 5 (Moton) should have been playing spades on the bench?

We had a OG at LT, our backup LT at RG, Elf at C (who is a LG) and at one point BC at LG who is a LT. That is 4 guys playing out of their positions. I guess Elf played C his rookie year but we signed him as a LG.

This staff is terrible and has been making terrible personnel decisions.

At this point, I just want Cameron Erving to get healthy so that Christensen and Brown can get thrown out on to the field to see if they're going to be the starters we need.

We still need a franchise LT, but I don't mind riding out the season with Erving. I'd prefer that the talent level relegate him to swingman duties next season tho.

Oh my doge if we actually land Tyler Linderbaum I'm ordering a jersey the moment the store releases them.

Erving is serviceable at T. Given the recent additions to IR, I highly doubt he will be rushed back this season.

Christensen is a LT not a guard, Daley is a guard, not a tackle and CERTAINLY not a LT. Scott is not a guard

I’m aware of how “positionless” Rhule wanted our offensive line to be and how all over the place on the line they’ve been through the season.

It was jokes lol. Still factual that the starting lineup last week should be playing the bench outside of Moton.

Lol ok, I didn't pick up on it. To be fair, most of them are terrible anywhere so i guess Rhule got what he envisioned lol. Positionless mess

That's the big question.

Does he play?

If so, does he play well?

They didn't seem all that inclined to play him before he went on IR so I don't know if that changes now.

Play well or play better than who we have had out there?  I mean the bar is pretty low after Sunday.

Just for fan curiousity alone, I'd like to see if the current staff really has that right.

I'm all for playing him. but I don't know if it's gonna happen.

yeah, at this point, the staff likely has to be self aware of not doing things that could potentially highlight additional poor decision making.

I mean, if  they played him and he looked better than what we have had of late?  That wouldnt' bode well for them.  Got to think Rhule at least knows he has some heat on him.  I still think he comes back next year (not that I agree with that).  Win the Atl game.  At least hang with NO.  Guess you can accept getting bashed by Tampa.

Rhule basically survives playing the CMC card two years in a row.

Erving is pretty awful. I don't care to ever see him suit up for us again, TBH.

    • That may be true but not having a competent and talented safety is what let Stafford cook us down the field in almost less than 1 minute and bouncing us out the playoffs.  Scott is a liability in each level of the game IMO and a versatile player at that position can completely change the look of a defense just as much as a pass rusher. Knocked down passes big moments, turnovers, TFL, QB pressures on blitzes, etcetera.   I'm  not saying you don't want us to draft a safety, but most of us should agree that WE NEEEED a lights out safety on this team finally.  If DM moves up a spot before Vikings and not give up much to snag him for us I won't be mad in slightest. This kid is a DAWG and I believe he could possibly be a staple on this defense the likes of the guys we still sing praises for Peppers, Kuechly, Davis, Rucker, Beason, Morgan, Gamble..............Thieneman?

    • Picks: Nos. 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 I'm extremely excited for the Panthers' 2026 draft. How could you not be? After two straight offseasons of aggressive defensive spending, coordinator Ejiro Evero's unit looks ready to make the leap. Jaelan Phillips and Devin Lloydfill out two of the biggest gaps on the roster, though the Panthers should not be discounted from drafting a top edge rusher early. Phillips is a major injury risk and not a sack artist, so he doesn't fully solve the Panthers' 5.3% sack rate from last season (27th in the league). The Panthers might be the Akheem Mesidor(Miami) team, as they need his production immediately. The Panthers are also often tagged as the Kenyon Sadiq team, which is very possible. No one among Tommy Tremble, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Mitchell Evans has played his way into an unquestioned starting role. But the Panthers do have three tight ends on the roster, two of whom are on rookie contracts. Sadiq would fit nicely in Dave Canales' offense, which has a dynamic screen game and schemes up targets well. But I'd like to see an accompanying move to make room at the position for Sadiq's snaps to love the pick. There's much more room at wide receiver, where a second three-level option to run besides Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan could really bust open this offense. I could see an early pick spent in the secondary, which might come as a surprise to some. Slot corner Chau Smith-Wade has been fine but could be improved upon if an elite nickel option is available at No. 51 (think D'Angelo Ponds from Indiana or Keionte Scottfrom Miami). Depth behind the outside corners is also quite thin, and Mike Jackson (29 years old) is in a contract year, so a player with inside-out versatility would have even more value. Clemson's Avieon Terrell, anyone? The Panthers can also buttress the slot by drafting a safety with good man coverage traits to play opposite Tre'von Moehrig, as neither Lathan Ransom nor Nick Scott has emphatically secured that role. Treydan Stukes(Arizona) is another option who would make a lot of sense at No. 51. Bottom line: Wide receiver, pass rusher and defensive back are the big needs. Attack them aggressively -- this is the end of Bryce Young's rookie contract, so it's time to push
