My question is if Rhule is fired, does Fitterer go with him? Didn't Rhule have a big say in who the GM was going to be and wanted a guy to complement him?

Thats what I want to know... Rhule hired Fitt and Fitt seemed to do and agree with everything Rhule said. Just watch that draft video... Fitt seems like a puppet.

Given that Rhule is the guy with final say on things, he shouldn't.

That plus you don't really want to be looking for both a coach and a GM in the same offseason.

Carolina wins out, gets to the playoffs.  Rhule isn't the real problem, the issue is hes new to the NFL, needs to be coached up so to speak but theres no one on this staff that can do that.  Maybe bringing in a OC thats been a head coach before could really vault Rhule into an NFL caliber head coach.

Whatever you’re snorting or smoking can you share with everyone else?

Yes to Daboll and also to Nathaniel Hackett.

No to Moore and Leftwich.

We just fired an offensive coordinator who's failings were rooted in the fact that he was hugely inexperienced. How can we turn around from that and start talking about it hiring a head coach who fits the same profile? Hell, Moore has even less experienced coaching than Brady did.

The NFL needs to stop looking for the next Sean McVay and start looking instead at guys who have actually paid their dues and earned the opportunities.

Leftwich has been in the league for 20 years as a player and a coach. He’s been a player with the Steelers and he’s been a coach with an extremely successful QB guru. You could argue there isn’t anyone better in the entire league at maximizing QB talent than Bruce Arians.

Roethlisberger’s best years - Arians

Luck’s best years - Arians

Warner’s best years - Arians

Palmer’s resurgence - Arians

Brady’s resurgence - Arians

That is who Leftwich has been learning under and he’s becoming a QB guru himself.  We would be stupid not to look at Leftwich. Heck…he could be good enough to squeeze out one more year with Cam while we develop a rookie.

Depends on how badly we lose to Atlanta.

I honestly expect us to win this week because Atlanta has been pretty bad and our defensive strengths match their offensive weaknesses pretty well.

Thats exactly what they said about MIA

That'd be a good argument if we were talking about hiring Arians.

And twenty years isn't exactly accurate. Leftwich didn't get a coaching job until four years after his playing career ended. Playing and coaching are two very different skills.

He's only been coaching since mid 2016, and his results when not coaching Carson Palmer or Tom Brady aren't exactly anything to write home about.

Bro you hired this guy for 7 years. This is year 2..  like I don't see him being fired. He was ahead of schedule which made everyone think we should be in the playoffs when we are about where we should be in actually now that the illusion of playoffs is fading everyone feels like we in year 5 of said contract.

No I don't think he should be or will be fired.
