Rhule is not like Fox and Rivera. their faults ram along being uncreative, too conservative, and making decisions out of fear.

whatever you think of rhule, he’s shown he’s not afraid to make a move, be it with the roster or on the field.

If we make a move Nathaniel Hackett should definitely be a front runner

I'd call Daboll the most likely candidate, but to me Hackett is far and away the best candidate.

Hackett and his dad have connections going all the way back to Bill Walsh. He basically grew up around the NFL.

Click on the thread by Ricky Spanish that he linked above and you'll see plenty of info.

Nah, I think Hackett's gonna be really good.

Everywhere he's been, the offense has improved greatly.

You could actually get that same OC/DC combo under Nathaniel Hackett.

Pettine was the Packers DC not that long ago and Hamilton worked with Hackett's dad.

Mind you, I prefer Jim Schwartz or Gus Bradley as DC options. There are other good possibilities at OC as well.

Scot, dang bro....you were full on hackett.

Soooo much changed in less than a year......

Yep, largely because of how I thought he'd handle things, especially staffing. But instead he went in the opposite direction of pretty much everything I expected him to do.

With the connections he had between himself and his dad, he could've built a world class staff, but he chose to go with a load of inexperienced or underexperienced options. Then to top it all off, rather than drafting a young signal caller he and Paton blew a huge wad on Wilson.

In essence, Hackett wound up being the head coaching version of David Tepper.

It's a reminder that coaching hires, just like quarterback draft picks, are unpredictable.

No one can predict the future. nasa can in some ways tho...

Now you dont even want him as a OC either?

Just like the baker deal here, it just didnt work out and ended with crashing burning fashion....

I'd say his best option is to go back to being a position coach and work his way back up.

From what I've been reading though, sounds like he'll be heading back to Green Bay in some capacity.
