It may not be the QB . . .

What we have, though, are coaches that aren't used to handling the pro level load. They're literally feeling their way along blindly, adding a bit here and there. They are trying to learn the pro game while they are in the midst of it. Basically, though, they are performing as if Tepper had hired on a bunch of free-labor college interns.

Great description!

IMO it isn't just that we haven't installed a ton of plays yet.  The simplicity of this system is one thing we had emphasized by the media (as a strength) thru camp etc. How QB friendly it was.  The media just didn't realize how CB friendly it was, too.

TB is no answer for us but he does show that the problems on offense make QBs look worse than they are.

We have two former top 3 selections at QB on the roster right now  Yes, QB play has been bad, but is that completely on the players themselves or on the supporting cast and coaches?  I honestly think our QB play would be drastically improved with a different staff, an actual OL and a fresh start to a season.

The Panthers on early game scripted drives look amazing.  When the other team makes adjustments or things go off script there is a serious disconnect going on, I feel that has had a lot to do with the OC.

I don’t think we can discount the negative impact of this atrocious OL.  They can’t pass block anyone.  Over the course of the game it wears down the defense when the offense can’t move the ball.

Did you see Teddy last week? Lol

Broncos fans have had it with him

Yah, Teddy isn't gonna lead a team to victory against good opponents often and is more likely to lose than win a game when the pressure is on...

We are all so desperate for consistency now mediocrity ends up attractive lol.  Teddy isn't the answer to any franchise's long term starting QB situation, but like Darnold, we managed to make him worse... Good offenses lift players up... Ours clearly does the opposite.

His value is in showing how our offense manages to make people look even worse than they are I suppose, heh.

Scheme has a lot to do with it. If your scheme is predictable, your route running is vanilla, then cornerbacks around the league will see it on tape and be able to jump routes.

Our nearly complete lack of play action passing also means that the defense rarely has to cheat up to stop the run on passing plays.

Basically, we're not a very complex team offensively. They've said time and again it is because they are installing it slowly and making sure the QBs have it down before adding more. The problem is that of the three QBs we've had as starters (Bridgewater, Darnold, Cam) all three have been pro starting QBs elsewhere in their careers, and in the case of Teddy and Cam at multiple teams. These guys can handle the full weight of professional QB duties from the get go. The only one without that experience is PJ Walker and well.

What we have, though, are coaches that aren't used to handling the pro level load. They're literally feeling their way along blindly, adding a bit here and there. Yeah, we're not very good and the rest of the league pretty much knows it and understands how we can be beat.

@LinvilleGorge said in another thread how they looked terrible after the scripted plays were over. This definitely alludes to that fact as it looked like they only had schemed about 10-15 at most. As a comparison, Norv Turner used to scheme 25 minimum and that was just to start a game. Dan Henning reverted back to a season's worth of instillations when the Patriots cheated in the 03 Championship to make the 2nd half competitive. That's why even though they are technically in playoff contention still, who would want to show up just to get massively outcoached in the postseason.

The passing attack is awful. We rarely have receivers open in the middle of the field. I watch other games and teams are exploiting the open windows in the middle of the field. With us, it’s all or nothing on slants to DJ or sideline passes that are all over the place.

It’s not black and white or one or the other. It’s a mixture. We need all new, legit NFL coaches and to draft a QB. THAT’S a situation worth the growing pains for two years. This is not.

Continuing this charade will just further delay the future of the team. No thanks. Do what needs to be done already good lord.

The broadcaster said Rhule was an offensive guy. Maybe he couldn't stay out of Brady's room? I don't know. The problem looks like it's Rhules offense.
