Cam didn't play good enough to win.

Phew... it sure would be nice having an extra practice squad body, top 40 + 110 selections in the upcoming draft, and $19M in cap space.

Unfortunately we have an owner that thinks like a Huddle rageposter and a coach that refers to paint chips as wall candy. T_T

Yeah, that's...not at all what he was saying but hey 😕

Thank you for pointing that out.  So many people are frustrated and trying to have a witch hunt its killing this place.  Is it keeping the huddle more active than it would normally get under these circumstances?   Sure.  Is it worth it in the long run?  I dont see how it could be.  Why come somewhere that is overwhelmingly negative all the time beating the same dead horses.

Have you ever heard Cam specifically reference another players name when talking about not playing well enough? I’m pretty sure that’s a no.

He 100% talked bad about Sam.  When he made that video about coming back and he said the panthers checked all the boxes, a chance to be a starter, and he went check check check a million times.  None of this even matters.  He was saying the team wasnt playing good enough to win lately (it is clear hes talking about multiple weeks in his comment) and that is also clearly true.

Robby and DJ can't catch a cold. RBs got hands of stone. There's no threat at TE. That doesn't matter because the Oline can't pass block and other teams know our simplistic playbook that was figured out way before Sam got hurt.

Cam can't fix all of that so all of it is HIS fault.

Sounding exactly like his coddling coach who sat him all preseason because he's perfect and so is this garbage offense...

That's a fair perspective too, but he also noted himself in the statement.

Darnold has a lot of faults but he seems to take responsibility for his shittiness..

Ever notice when a weak person is particularly bad at their job, they always turn to the failure of their group or team for camouflage and defense?

He's definitely bad at his job, but has also blamed himself plenty... I just think he's not good enough to be a qb

    • Cooter, Kurb, others have passed on to glory….  Praise be.
    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
