WFT to announce new name 2/2/22

Washington Football Team to unveil new name and logo Feb. 2 (nfl.com)

Finally, the wait is almost over and we at least know that Football Team will NOT be the new name as well as Wolves nor Redwolves.

They have a hype video which I think offers a clue as to what the new name will be. 

I'm guessing that they will be known as the Washington Generals. (which I think is a good name for them)

Watch the video and tell us if you see the same clue and if you agree.

Yes I agree and it's the most popular choice but legally they cannot because of copyrights from other teams.

They make it so hard on themselves. I thought of the Washington Reds with the Red Tail Hawk as the mascot last year. They wouldn't have had to change much. Just replace the man with the hawk, get rid of the "kins" in the mascot name.

They should have just kept it WTF. A team of Generals is very confusing. Does this promote the players to the same level as the coaches now?

Generals isn't bad compared to a lot of the other options floated.  I honestly thought the WFT name was unique and they should have kept it.
