Lol stop messing with Rhules ego. It was working we just couldn't see it.

Panther fans can't see it.

The players can't see it.

The score keeper can't see it.

The game officials can't see it.

The win column can't see it.

The record books can't see it.

Somehow Dave Tepper thinks he sees it, because Matt "Svengali" Rhule says to trust him "It's Happening".

Who knew Dave Tepper was so gullible when it came to football coaches and GMs?

Truthfully, our line got pretty much no forward push anyway, so I'm not sure it would have mattered if it was just a straight ahead run.

That said, we've seen Newton turn something into nothing in similar situations many, many times.

Even knowing the end result though, I'd still have gone with Newton. It just made a lot more sense.

If Sam had, at minimum, not fumbled the ball going forward, it would've been a first down based on where his body was, so Cam likely makes that a TD, not just a first down.  But seeing as how Sam and our staff are habitual fug ups, that's what we got.

    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
    • Only 26 years old, fills the biggest hole on our roster. Top 3 at his respective position, yeah fug it how often does a future HOF player become available in their prime?
