Dear David Tepper

Here's your chance to sound off, folks...

This thread is about telling Panthers owner David Tepper online what you wish you could tell him in person. How you feel about the team, the staff, his ownership, whatever.

is he going to see it? No, but it can be therapeutic to let it out anyway.

My one suggestion: Try really hard to rise above the level of "you suck, you're a dumbass, you should sell the team and only a--holes put ketchup on steak" and instead say something that, while it may not necessarily be constructive is at least rational and sounds intelligent.

...

Yeah, I know what this'll likely devolve into but what the hell, I thought I'd give it a shot anyway 😕

Yeah, no, he doesn’t deserve that for what he’s done to the only football team I care about and spend my hard earned money on.

fug you you fat, bald, bitch. Lather those brass balls of yours in ketchup and shove them up your ass.

Oh yeah one more thing. Can I have a million dollars?

Dave, you bought a mediocre franchise that never achieved consistent success but did have sporadic success. You promised that you wouldn't settle for mediocrity. Well, you haven't. You've turned us into a doormat and a laughing stock. Keeping Rhule isn't refusing to settle for mediocrity. It's settling for being a bottom feeder. Your best "success" as an owner came in your first season before you began putting your stamp on the football side of the organization. Since then, it's just gotten worse and worse. The stamp you put on the football organization:

Dear Mr Tepper:

As a big believer in analytics, surely you've seen the numbers indicating that in the last 30 years NFL coaches who start with two losing seasons at a team fail to achieve success at that team.  In fact, by nearly every measure available, our coach has us in a position that the odds tell us are so astronomically stacked against him as to be laughable.

Why then would we show faith in a coach who would need cut so far against the grain in order to achieve what you've said is our team goal?

Disagree. I think there's plenty to say, especially given the fact that to this point Tepper has said nothing at all.

What else needs to be said? He knows the fans aren't happy with his decisions. That's why he hasn't said anything. Nothing is going to change.

Dear Dave, I miss seeing you out and about, friendly with the fans and the community.  What changed bro?

I guess I'll look for you to appear around time for the Charlotte FC debut.  Don't forget you own an NFL team too, and if you haven't checked lately, they are at a historically low point in their existence.  Please fix this.

Admit Rhule is an incompetent fug stick who has destroyed the Ferrari you gave him the keys to, without so much as a drivers license to prove he could even start the thing.   Yes, shame on you for giving him the keys but for God's sake take them back before he kills more people.

Thanks

Dear Dave,

I feel like I can call you Dave because you and me are so alike. I'd like to meet you one day, it would be great to talk investing. I know I can't invest as fast as you but I think you'd be impressed with my speed. I love your hair, you invest fast. Did you have a good relationship with your father? Me neither. These are all things we can talk about and more. I know you have not been getting my letters because I know you would write back if you did. I hope you write back this time, and we can become good friends. I am sure our relationship would be a real Touchdown!

Tepper is as bad of an owner that there is in the NFL. He kept Marty Hurney on too long. He’s now making the same mistake with this idiot of a coach. Tepper wants to be like the Steelers, but doesn’t have the slightest idea of how to make that happen.

the way he cut ties with cam Newton was nothing short of a disaster. I understand wanting to move on from cam, but the process of how it went down was embarrassing. First you go on and on about how much you love cam. Then you trot that sloppy troll looking coach out to go on and on about how excited he was to work with cam, to only wait to cut him with 1 year left on his deal after free agency started.

At worst you had 1 year left of cam, who was the single most important player to ever step foot in Charlotte. Instead you unceremoniously cut him for Teddy check down. Then you traded Teddy check down and took on more dead cap to trade assets for Sam darnold. Not only did you trade assets for him, you guaranteed him $19M. Now you’re letting the same idiot who signed off on Teddy and darnold to make a 3rd QB decision.

congratulations for taking less than 4 years to completely destroy everything that cam and Luke spent a decade building. It has been extremely impressive how inept this ownership has come off so quickly.

    • We beat Atlanta by 30 in the first meeting
    • The situation here was the doing of David Tepper.  Frank Reich didn't want Young, he wanted Stroud. Stroud fit his QB mold better than Young. So yeah, he didn't design an offense for him. He was lied to by his boss and he didn't want to be here. Would you? It sucks for Young, but as I said, that has nothing to do with his terrible footwork, poor mechanics, his shitty drop backs, fumble issues, not bothering to look off the Atlanta safety that turned into a pick 6 by his own admission. Those were all things that had nothing to do with Frank, the OL or the rest of the team.  And Houston wasn't a complete team. They had the 2nd pick in the draft because they sucked. They built a team and had a damn good HC that I wanted here but he refused Tepper's interview.  Young has been protected in ways no other QB has. Dalton has been kept because he has never been a threat to take the job from Young. We signed him to a 2 year deal this offseason when it was clearly evident we needed an upgrade. For 2m more per year we could have and should have looked at Brissett if we didn't go after Howell, Russell, Winston or anyone else. Anyone else other than Dalton would have been a serious risk to take Young's starting job. If Young hadn't been the 1st overall pick, and been a day 3 pick instead, he would have been cut as a rookie. If he were on any other team as a starter, this message board would be laughing like hell at whoever was starting him for 3 years. That's why this team gets murdered when Young doesn't play. He's been sheltered from ever having to worry about his job and the QB room proves it.  I've been extremely critical of how this team has been constructed the past 3 years, especially on offense. But this whole narrative that Bryce has always been good enough and it's everyone else's fault that he's not succeeding isn't matching up to what he's been putting on the field week in and week out.
    • He sucks to be honest. He hasn't made much of a difference at all.
